Las Vegas - Travel

Looks like its time to blog my travels. Got too lazy to dig out photos, but I have to move it move it! So here it goes…. I took a trip with the husband to Las Vegas in April, he had a convention and I had  .. well, flexible time and a wanderlust heart.  Did like totally contemplated (since i just just did Germany, Barcelona and Taipei - JUST)  but decided that okie why not. It's been a good 15 years since I was there and I love, love, love, love, love (oh did I say that out too loud? ya abit oops)  time alone.  If it's your 1st time reading here, this is me.  ↓tumblr_m9qnsiVCvO1r6bsw8o1_500Anyway I totally decided since its April and its our anniversary month and I sort of psycho-ed myself that it will be our anniversay celebration. Well, women always will have reason for like everything. Besides that you need tha moo-lah  too la, if not how to enjoy wanderlust-ing ya.  Only when you are a independent woman with financial ability then can have this type of voice, okie.Nose pick booger We decided on a 8 days trips, come to think it was abit too long especially hanging around casinos was energy depleting. From a person who doesn't gamble, it was pretty drab.  Coz Vegas has 2 best things - Gamble and Clubbing,  guess what, none appealed to me.  Rewind 15 years back, I was clubbing crazy . Oh well. I was told by my tour guide that Vegas has the best clubbing scene like in the world. DJs are paid by millions to play in the clubs to bring people into the casinos. Well, I reckon drunk people do many silly things and losing money was what they were looking for. Just thinking out loud. #YOLO Back to the trip, flying was a pain. I reached my destination almost close to 30 hours later. It could have been faster if not for loose connecting time  which was way fun in Narita airport coz I was "mai dong xi chi dong xi" bestest lo. We stuffed ourselves with pricey udon and katsu curry rice *slurps, but I so miss Japan. Then I sort of went overboard with buying Toyko Banana and Royce. Then it got drabby when we reached San Francisco with NO wifi and glooby weather. Anyways we finally reached Vegas… we looked CHUI.
Pass Out
I miss direct flights to states.
At this point, I am so refusing to look into my camera to dig photos out. Why? After the migration of my blog, all my photos are blur blur and I have to resize them ALL! Wails!!!!!!!  Now I have to categorize and resize photos, who says blogging is easy.. my ass I tell u!  If you are free can kaypoh my rant post here about categorising my posts . Anyway I'm quite liking this new home though I dunch koe how some people side bar got so many things, I need to redo my profile, my write up. Just receive an personalised email from a sponsor and it states "I search the whole blog and can't find your name, so Hi FloMummy"Nervous so jialat right. I mean this PR girl so hardworking and its my fault. So soli about it. I will get there eventually.. even-tua-llllly…. Something I have learnt from this site and that is no more handphone picktures le. It's really totally unforgiving to photos man. Now I have to plan my outfits well to events coz must look mei mei in photos, as of it bring 2 children out is already so handful, must plan cannot wear 3 inch shoes or skirts that pockets in pants are bestest and I have to bring my NIKON? Oh well, lets see. I will get there la. Back to Vegas. Sorry I digress so much, but I think I will just blog the 8 days here and not like some who breakes it up to Day 1- Day 8.  Basically, when I stumble on such a blog, I don't read it. It's too mafan for my brain coz I read on my mobile and to click click from day to day is too much. The worst type are those who cannot even  sequence their days, like day 8  read here for day 6 and here here here for day 4. Wtf? You want just write, if not link properly.  Anyways, yes, Vegas, Just as beautiful and empty slots of land 15 years ago have now been filled by very typical buildings you know. The new ones are just no enough style. They bring the cosmopolitian  high rise buildings, plastered it with glass and make them really high and call it CASINO. Best lo, I felt I was in New York at one point. I read up and Vegas has stopped building for the last 10  years or something, economy and crap. Plus apparently the gambling haven is in Macau. Please do not quote me, its Wiki that I read. Oh but I did read about a new casino that's is coming up in 2016 by Resorts World that is Oriental theme with 6000 rooms and they are planning to have pandas. Cool right? Since the white tigers have retired from MGM, people will get excited to see pandas. Anyway, when I read I was like ?? then adjusted my thoughts and Vegas appeals to young children too. I saw alot of them la, just was wondering why would anyone expose their young children to people passing them namecards of titties of many sizes. CheerleaderIMG_1083Day 1 after 30 hours of travelling was exploring the strip. We did the Bellagio Buffet which was recommended, but as usual couldn't eat much for they had a massive array of food. Totally made a mistake by eating after so many hours of travelling. We were exhausted, bloated to down so much of food.  Oh, I tell you the weather in Vegas was freakish la! One of those trips I would never expect to be winter, night was 8-9 degrees!! It was a torture and I believe  it was for everyone that 3-4 days.  You could tell it was unexpected because people on the road was in bermudas, flip flops and sundresses.  But we were supposed to be in winter wear!  We managed to catch the sun 2 days before left where the temperature was at its normal of 20-24 degrees.  Apparently States has been experiencing the cold front all winter and it hasn't "left" and that few days it sort of arrived to LV. Kk here are some photos before I think of what happened. 1The selfie stand bought from Q10 didn't help coz I cannot find the right angle and the husband is NOT patient. Note: bring selfie stand only for BFF trips. 2Bellagio Buffet IMG_0844At the Bellagio - The wind was so strong from the cold, they cancelled the fountain performance. It was way too cold to enjoy the strip and we went to walk about inside the casinos. By then we were stuffed, cold, tired and decided to call it a night. The next morning  we started pretty much early as Hb has to go for his convention and  I was left to wander abouts.  The 1st thing was to go to the shops to find for V her Frozen toys which at the end of the trip after going to 4-5 shops, we coudn't find any. So yes, the grievances of the parents who are not able to buy the Frozen toys are totally true. They make us parents break our promises, *something like that la. So I wandered doing what I do best but after 3 casinos, I was kanckered la! The one that hit me was The Venetian/ Palazzo, those who have travelled to these places will know they are meant to confuse you and they have that fake daytime/sunset feel. IMG_0885But Sands did their casino 1 up by creating the maze within a maze.  For a person who has relatively good sense of direction,  it took me real hard and I don't do well with bad energy.  I ended up at a couch watching 2 episodes of Running Man. From there I got kinda of charged and got out of the casino which I never stepped in after.  Whatever happened after I don't remember coz I didn't take any photos hahaha. I just know my energy level was at an all time low when I met up with hb. Guess we had dinner and walked the strip. Day 3 was way better, I started the day with outlet shopping!*yippee I went both eventually both Las Vegas North Premium North Outlet  and South outlet. In summary, North has more brands which is relevant to me coz we bought Ferragamo shoes and there was a huge Hugo Boss. South is more mass market, the type of enclosed mall with crappy foodcourt type.  So depends on what you like.  I took the Deuce which is like their bus that goes Northbound and Southbound. So so easy to use and costs Usd $8 for 2 days.  After shopping I did Casino hopping, not going inside to shop but just to see see look look. Las-Vegas-Hotels-Map4I totally enjoyed the walk and people watching. The weather was great and I caught some sun! I didn't finish my walk and was in midway when hb finished his stuff. I got the Deuce back and met him as we have an dinner engagement to go to. One thing I do like travelling with my hb is that its educational for me. Not so much on the sightseeing  part since I was travelling independently from a young age. But that we have business dinners and I alway have so many things to learn from. Most wives do not like to enertain but not me, I make an awesome plus one mainly because I am comfortable in my own skin and holds great conversations. Maybe that's why my hb asks me to accompany on trips huh. hahaha.

The infamous Bellagio fountain show
After the fountain show, we got back in to eat ice cream coz there was this reccomended ice cream palour Jean-Philippe Patisserie that has the world largest chocolate fountain.IMG_0988IMG_0992IMG_0991We ended our dinner with my Hb's business partner and got ourselves an invite to his strawberry farm to stay which is located in Montana where its just a ride away from Glaciers mountain that is near his backyard. Totally sounds amazing and is something I want to do with the children. We totally accepted his invite and will plan one when the kids are bigger for while he was telling us how wonderful his strawberry bush and cheery trees, that glaciers mountains view are to die for. He did add that they have brown bears that lurk in the forest. Like WTF, bears lei.. well at that point we were like thank god for guns. http://eemoticons.net   Since the weather was warming up we did a walk at the strip. IMG_1004IMG_1015IMG_1010  It was at this point we saw alot of "actors" on the road for photo taking opportunities. We ventured and found their 1st mode of transport even before buses and that was the monorail and took a ride on it. Its just a pity its quite a distance from the strip. Here are some photos of 2014 Las Vegas.

The husband did offer me to go LV next year at this time but *gulps.  Dunno if its worth my days and travelling man. Maybe I will do 2 days here and go Miami after. Anyways next comes the highlight of my trip to Las Vegas and the reason why I chose to go. To mark a tick on my BUCKET LIST! GRAND CANYON- one of The world's natural wonder of the world and I keep missing this one. Let me work on that while I post this 1st.
