Solids: I have started her on solids the minute she reached 6 months with 1 feed of formula milk at 11pm but stopped all foods after her serious bout of poo problem. Apparently rice cereal, banana, sweet potatoes, squash causes constipation. So sad you know, to see her so constipated, to see her cry so much, to see her "gek" but nothing comes out, to smell her smelly gas, to feel her tummy so hard... many remedies were used, she drank pear juice, ate fruits, I drank prune juice (I had the runs MASSIVE ones but nil for her), every night we massage her tum tums, cycle her legs, many things lar... the poo problem lasted for about 9 days or so...
After few days of hard marble poos, bad cries, no appetite and sleepless nights came her volcanic eruption... honest, we have never been so happy! After that horrible experience, I latch her exclusively again, no solids, no FM, just me... I didn't go out during that time as I latched her very often to supplement her lack of nutrients or lack of love.. I felt guilty to have cause her so much pain you know... Even till today she eats a measly 1 teaspoon of cereal for lunch... my milk is still the best... I think... at least she will not get constipated...
I make sure she drinks LOADS of water now... Took her a while to get used to it since she didn't drink any for the 1st 6 months...
Formula milk: After much consideration, I chose NAN HA 2 for her follow up milk... I decided to start her on her 1 feed of FM daily to ensure that she gets her iron and other nutrients (what ever I'm lacking in) I chose this because Hypo Allergenic milk is good for babies who have high risk of allergies, DD T has eczema and I have allergic rhinitis. This is one of the main reason why I'm insisting of BF-ing her for so long coz Bf milk has all the things that prevent allergies. It was a tough choice between the brands that offers the AAA (wat DHA EFA.. aiyo I don't know what As) to make her damn smart one or one that provides her with wealth of health.. I chose the latter as a healthy body provides a wealthy mind. Even though it doesn't seem that she has any allergies now but kaisu... better safe than sorry. But I did buy DHA liquid drops to give her keke, hey I didn't eat any fish during my 9 months of pregnancy so I better give her.

Check out her face!!! she likes to pull her bottle in and out, like how she does to my nips.. so the pressure is so great it sprays on her face... how naughty?
then as days progress, she wants to drink milk like that.. now the latest being sitting up..
Motor Skills: The princess have started standing with support
her 1st time.. at 6 mths 1 wk
look how inquisitive... damn daredevil!
Besides her standing, we realized that she hates to wear clothes especially those that have to pass through her head.. she will grumbled damn freaking loud...
So I will just let her be... oh pls before you start saying cold, got wind blah blah blah.. we are not that type of parents: cover head , wear socks, wear long sleeves, long pants... spare me!
Teething: After few nights of screaming.. yes she has learn how to scream! damn irritating, can't stand it, hope she will stop once she gets sick of it... but since she was in pain, we took the brunt of her pain.. (our ears)

anyway, when i read your first paragraph, i can feel the heart pain you went through. constipation is painful! poor baby. but thankfully everything is good now. see, breast milk is still the best.
i think all babies like to be naked. when my baby cries, i will first strip his pants. our friend happy! legs all kicking in the air! after a few minutes, cry again, strip his top. and then after another few minutes strip his diaper. wah, then he super happy!
your baby is really a character! see how she drinks from her bottle. so unique! she is one blessed baby to have you and hubby as parents who are very doting and hands on!
