Durians

came to the Ng's after JG as I have officially become THE chauffeur of the family... Had to send and pick Miko (the brown dog) to the groomers before I can go my groomers' in town later.

Then one of the neighbours brought us 2 durians la (old skool- I mean with the husks!) Wa I tell you, never ate durians with the husks since maybe when I was in secondary school la. As I was sitting in the dining room and I get wisp of light fragrance of this kampong durian. Nobody in this goddamn house eats durian... the only soul maybe my FIL who is on biz trip and back on friday. I don't eat durian as it causes havoc on my tonsils or anything fried, heaty for that matter. Totally not helping as I can feel the tonsils swelling as I write, but I decided not to deny myself of this and tried doing the impossible ... to open and EAT them. Was thinking, what hell, tomorrow gotta go take antibiotics anyway.

I mean I can wait till tomorrow when the FIL comes back or wait till DD T comes back at 11pm after his football game or force Aunty Nita to open for me or just freaking pry it open... Wa i tell you, so bloody difficult la.. 1st, I have never open any durians in my life!!! totally no skills, alot of sweats and scratches.... but it was all worth it... yummy manz!!!

Took about 5-6 yummy seeds and did the traditional drinking of salt water from the husks!!! LOL... damn messy...

one bitter, the other sweet.... its been a longtime since I ate durians but it was worth it. Its a few years one time occasion, for its too heaty and too fattening. So now I have to go pick Miko, drop off the box of durians to the Tay's, then go to town to trim my hair... Love the neighbours in this estate as they give daily snacks and regular angbaos!

My breath stinks now but its cardinal sin to brush teeth after eating durians. Yumzalot.. and coughs!
