My Wednesday

Just another day of sleeping in, woke up to reply mails, send some SMS, Facebook a little, reschedule the week as I didn't want to teach on friday afternoon and got a sister director to take over. Ya we are that flexible... End of the month is usually just sleeping in and doing 1 class a day. Keke I work 3 hours daily to be earning a good amount.

After all that was needed to do in 1.5 hours, I shut my computer to resume my role as a mother. I picked V up, had lunch , showered her, put her to sleep and started my day. Am in toa payoh now running an errand and International Plaza later for a class at 7pm. Maybe I should do a little shopping after my dinner, see how la.

Animal Farm

The old friends met up for a farming session at this ulu animal farm (ya the same one la) Its situated in Seletar Farmway 5, doubt they actually have a name to the farm .. hmm not sure. The last time I was here was for V's JG holiday program... didn't take much nice photos but I managed to get some nice ones as DD T came along.

The place is seriously nice as they do not charge for entry which is way cool, just 3 packets of foods ( for animals) for $2. Which is definitely not expensive for anybody at all! The children had a great time feeding the animals or rather rabbits most. The wild geese scared them off, there was the cranes which wasn't very friendly. the lone horse was greeted us but there was a sign that states that he bites :( , the peacocks and birds that was behind cages and few odd animals that didn't look too friendly la. kekeke

The children were the happiest at the rabbit hut, for the rabbits were responsive and tame. Then again this bunch of kiddos always love rabbits, everywhere they go! The other place they enjoyed was the pond, was easy feeding the fish. Just throw only what hahaha

The animal farm has pet grooming services sharing the premises which I think thats how they earn money for I think 3 packets for $2 foods is not getting enough yield to sustain the farm. There is also a boarding house for animals and we saw a pitiful sight of a dog paralyzed, its hind legs were useless and the handler were just a bandage cloth to assist it in walking. What was commendable was that the owners were coming to collect him to bring him back home overseas. People with such great heart keeping the dog :)

You know as I took this photo, it really amazed me that they have know each other for 2.5 years already. Attended their birthday parties together, went on trips together. Next we as parents are going to attempt a a big feat and that is to fly them together on a longer flight than KL *gulps. Lets try !!

MIL

So she drove me mad , fuming mad yesterday...

I finally had a day of not doing anything but stay in to be with my daughter, Dd T had his weekly football exercise every thursday. So I made the decision to NOT go out that day, man it was totally a wrong move. Freaking MIL was in some emo state and was scolding me for giving MY DAUGHTER A BISCUIT!!!

Crap, she was telling me I was not a good mother for not putting my foot down when my daughter was crying for the last 15 mins (1. for lack of sleep/nap, 2. mil had to turn off the hall lights when V was in the foulest mood 3. she just wanted a biscuit) Then I succumbed to giving her that bloody biscuit, THE BISCUIT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS! and it was MY fault that my daughter was addicted to the fxxxx thing!

I got so pissed with her statement and walked upstairs. Argghh!!

Anyway its over, nevertheless its a lesson learnt. That I will
1) stay out
2) go back my own house and not even let V go to school when I have time off
3) don't bother about the MIL for its a result for her boredom
4) don't take it to heart
5) stay upstairs if I really need to be in that house for you never know when her hormone rages.

I was this close to calling my FIL to complain! hahhahah and he was in pakistan then, think he will freak out.  Anyway it was just bad energy, everything was good when the husband came back and listen to my rant. Oh well, mother in laws. Seriously?

Florinda, always remember to be a person that people love. or rather be loved. Never do silly things like these to upset your children. Emotional management is the number 1 most important management to be someone.

My night after...

I just spent the whole day in a 7 habits of effective people course. Had to conduct a unit meeting till 10pm with my fellow sister directors , was a crazy fun night. Then we decided to go have a drink with our soon to be national sales director Dawn. Just a night of unwind at the hotel she is staying at Marina Mandarin. Besides flying in to teach us, she is also going to start her acting in a cameo part in "I not Stupid 3" hehe so cute.

Just a night of relaxation before a busy week :)

An hour in Raffles place

I had meet customers in Raffles Place.. Met up and I went to a bank to do some stuffs and was really hungry. Absolutely have no idea where to go and the whole place was bustling with the lunch crowd. I walked to 2 malls but wasn't impressed with the crowd at lunch hour :( . Remember there was One Caramel and was seriously hoping they can fit me but later realised they stopped serving savoury foods! Like omg raffles has no food.... Was really hungry and walked into one raffles place to see this empty new restaurant. Pedas pedas and its been a while since I had sambal, so I whack la!






Overall, sambal shiok, fish is fresh ... Rice although they use Thai rice it's not so fragrant enough. Tempeh not salty , was sort of flat.

Will I come back？no drawing factor that will make me crave for it except maybe for the fish .. It's a new place so I guess they will improve over time :)

Forgetful

I really need to stop and smell the roses.... was doing abit of blog hopping and realized that bloggers take so much time taking photos of the places they go. I hmm always forget about my surroundings... bad. Thats the problem about me, I go to wine and dine so often it has become so common until I don't bother. *sigh Then there are days I find  have nothing to write because I never bother.. so I'm writing to remind myself that I  NEED TO BOTHER. Hahaha

So lets try this I take flowers and menu of restaurants, sort of cutesy lame stuffs that make a blog I think quite interesting. Then again let me see how long my enthusiasm can last....

29 months

I was wondering how to write this post?

V is growing at such a fast pace it has become impossible to document her anymore. The words which are coming out so fast and furious I seriously no longer keep tab. I know for sure this child is a very confident and someone who hardly have any fears, voices our her displeasure damn clearly. Like this morning, I carried her and she told me "mummy please don't carry me like that, it's uncomfortable >.<" win liao.

She goes to school everyday though there was one time we woke her up and she opened her eyes "daddy today no school, holiday" "sleep" We took our HP to double check and realised this rascal just told us an excuse. Terrible right? But she totally loves school, there are days I go n peep and always see her having fun and learning stuffs. She comes home daily and always have a song ready for us, although sometimes I have no idea but just clap along. Think it's mandarin songs but I'm so bad at it, told the teacher to write me the music list hahahaha.

She has no problem expressing her likes and dislikes. If she is happy she will announce to everyone "I'm so happy!" and will be laughing, clapping. But if she is in a foul mood, all hell breaks loose :( her highlight of the day when she wakes up is going to the playground or when we take turns to bring her to the supermarket just outside the grands. Aunty Nita will bring her most times to just walk around to learn her fruits, vegetables, meats etc. I got to know only when there was once we went together and nita was bringing her around asking her to name the fruits. At that moment I was so proud of her and realised the amount of effort my family is helping me groom her whilst I'm busy. They really took my learn through play very seriously as I stopped buying toys or books for her. I told them the world is her oyster and there are many things she can pick up from without playing with new toys. She has daily conversations with Grand Ng on the handphone for a good 10 mins, like I don't look what they chat about but I believe it's one sided for my mother in law is damn good on the phone.

I am a proud mother when it comes to her behaviour most of the time proud but there are days she is uncontrollable (which we will just drive home even when no errands was completed) V hardly runs amok because I will always tell her to be a lady. I remind her that she must be a lady and that a lady must be well mannered at all times , no running amok, must always be by our side, eat with her utensils ,remember her P's & Q's. Surprisingly she takes this real well :) There are days when she screams (yes those irritating ones) I will look into her eyes and say "Victoria be a lady" and she will shut up keke

Let's hope this lasts long... I wonder what entails hahhaha

Disney Junior

Well, guess who was invited to the launch? Seriously think this child has all the goodness one can have for a 2 1/2 years old. 

So we were invited to go Sentosa for a day of fun, laughter and of course Mickey Mouse! I got all excited, I mean who doesn't like him? The invite was for me as a blogger mummy to go check out the day and seriously they didn't expect me to write anything (I think?) Who am I to kid and miss out this awesome post for my readers right??

The day started real early on a sunday morning, we were up at 7am.. the princess refused to get up. After all the bribing of her going to see mickey mouse didn't work, for I think she doesn't know what she is in for! even I didn't know what I was in for...

Yes it was hot but who am I to kid, its Sentosa! Poor V was drenched through just 1/2 hour into the event. We went around the compound to take photos with the cartoon boards, she commanding me to take for her :( She had a similar pose all the time, pose with one finger in the air.

The event finally started and they had games prepared for us! Was great fun trying to go to all the stations to complete our tasks. We had bravery station, reading station, memory station, teamwork station each teaching V and learning through play. It was certainly very well thought of....

1) At the Handy Mandy station it was a task of teamwork and we were to hoist a sail up together. But DD T ended up hoisting with the seaman while V watched hahha!

2) At Reading station it was themed together with Word World and we were suppose to find alphabets in a pool of letters and form them. I love this game, think its really fun for parties and teaches the children spelling in a fun way!

3) The Bravery station was Agent Oso's and we were to shoot down bottles using our water gun!!

4) Last of all was the memory station, using the similar quadrant in the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. V was asked to remember the things she was to search while in the maze. She sort of didn't want to do it as it was getting real hot now.

At every station, we got ourselves a stamp and a little gift too!!

We went back to the shelters to get our photos taken and queued for MICKEY MOUSE!!

 V even got a chance to sign on the wall of fame, seriously she has the treatment of a superstar. I never even got a chance to sign on something or rather handprint on a wall. Little famous child..... Now comes the BEST part of all.

We were given a voucher to meet and greet the celebrities! who else right? V had a opportunity to take one by herself! We wanted to walk away after she took the photo but Mickey called us to take a family photo! yippee right! if you check out the photo, Minnie actually held on to DD T's arms, something he was bragging about for a long time. V had a chance to kiss both of them goodbye after the photo taking. 

We got down the stage and was asked to stay behind as we need to take photos for a VIP. I was like huh I'm not a VIP what. But still hung around as we weren't sure what was it all about and the girl spoke to Dd T not me. V got irritated and wanted to do some colouring as high of the event was over. So we walked to the tables but was called backed after 5 mins to wear her pirate hat. then I finally understood what the girl was saying. V was chosen as the 10 children to take a photo with the VIP.. blur us parents. 

Tell me if you see V's photo somewhere K! it was taken with Vp of Disney and Starhub etc. I was not listening to the VIP as I was busy taking photos kekeke. Did I not say it was a great day for her??? I'm jealous ....

Oh and after this photo, when Mickey and Minnie adjourned backstage ... she wailed! inconsolable.... it lasted 1/2 hour... like omg! It didn't stopped even we walked to wavehouse to have our refreshment. Then today she told us she cried coz she didn't get to hug Mickey mouse goodbye.. awwwwww..

We did discuss about making a trip to disneyland, but I told Dd T this.. never in Disneyland can she get so much time with Mickey up close and personal. Seriously in my opinion she is real blessed to see an icon .... even I was high with endorphins. Hahaha

Sugar rush

I had classes to conduct on Saturday and so DD T was left the task to entertain her. In between my 2 classes, I receive a missed call from my customer that she saw V in raffles city. Seriously think V has a huge fan base hahaha. Anyway story was not about this, was that I meet them at a Ben & Jerry's and both where happily whacking a cup of cookie's and cream. Walked around to do some shopping and went for dinner.

V was slightly high, you know her sugar high type of high right, one that makes me not give her sugar? So she was screeching like a hyena in the restaurant and towards the end got down her seat... And started to dance!! This child is damn funny la.. Sometimes I think she is alot like me when I have my little happy glasses of alcohol.

Much later I realised she had fries, sweets, garrett popcorn ... Of course the ice cream. indulgence by the father *rolls eyes . No wonder my daughter was high....

Holiday can?

Oh we are not going for a holiday .. Not yet I suppose with loads of things to do...

We woke up this morning, daddy 1st, he will make milk for V and she will drink it with my cuddling her. 2nd usually will be V's turn to wake up but today she took a super long time... We keep bugging her, reminding her of school with her friends waiting for her .. She still kept tight at her sleeping position .

Then suddenly we heard this "today no school, it's a HOLIDAY!!" we panicked and realised she pulled a fast one on us!! Dangz... My girl has started telling us a reason not to go school and it's an intended one. Oh well we had a good laugh, played her our morning song and everyone was up....

Just the 2 of us

Once you are parents, you will realised that there isn't a photo of the spouse in your handphone. I never was able to produce any, it was all about V. So finally we were out for a wedding and my girlfriend took a awesome one which I think I must share. For I think everyone must be sick of seeing V all the time.
