Tonsillitis

It's back ... The ailment is back to haunt me :(

Okie not me, but the princess has it. Woke up slightly warm but it was off to school and since it was 37 ish, daddy thinks it was okie. She came back had a nap and voila it came. 38.4.... Complain about pain in her mouth... Faint :( she felt sad for herself and cried. I knew that she was really not well, for it was self pity...

We cannot afford to fall sick as trev is flying off on a biz trip, I'm booked full in March..... and hfmd is on a high. Worse right? Off we went to the doctor and walau germicide !!! So many sick children, I felt sick just registering myself !!! After about 1 hour of wait.. At this new PD at 828 tampines, eh 18 years being there!! We saw some recognition on the wall.. Dr Loke was really really nice.... V likes her, mainly because she called her princess!

After checks, nothing alarming and it's was my old friend Mr Tonsillitis... He came for a visit. :(

U see I grew up with this friend, my whole life. I hate him, I can't eat fried, heaty stuffs my whole life coz it's a torture with him hovering around. V came home feeling really sad for herself, cries again. Oh well.

Yday I was busy at work but took time out today to stay with her. Aiyo the tears were just rolling, can't eat lunch, during meds, even milk... Reminds me so much when I was young. I remember I really pitied myself whenever I had it, coz the whole body aches, throat flares... In the midst of her crying I offered her to bring her to a ice cream palour and she rejected me! Okie this is serious ... Coz I hv a child who doesn't demand for treats but appreciate when we offer -hardly esp from me, and she rejected me! Okie today must be peak.

It's pitiful to see her struggle through her sleep, but many times I remind myself .. It's better the tonsils then the father's children asthma. The doctor always told me when I was young that it's a better ailment to have as it prevents the viruses from going into the chest or body. The body is smart to use it's tonsils to block it ... So yes I'm thankful for this terrible ailment.
