Style and Fashion 2015

Just an update of what is to come for the next 6 months. True to FloMummy's style, I will only recommend readers style items that affordable and yet it can make you look trendy. The trends I am concentrating on this post on mummy wearables which will have my reccomendations on your new hair do and colour, maybe buy some new pieces to look current while you to run around with the children. Of course carry a new bag and wear a new pair of sandals rather than your usual havaianas………. All without breaking the bank.

HAIR

Lob also known as Long Bob.
Things that make you look older than you are has to be the hair. If you are in dire straits to get a new cut and have absolutely no guts to go bob. Try this! Guarantee to make you look fresh and please get a nice warm colour along with it.

Big Ribbon are a great clip to have it you are growing out your hair. It goes very well with the korean fashion and I find it very useful on days I run out of time to blow dry my hair. Please don't use scrunchie :(

The latest hair trend is Babylights, the highlights are very fine and subtle which are designed to mimic the sunkissed tones that your hair would naturally have. This look is super low maintance and all you have to do is ensure that your hair looks dynamic and really healthy.

Instyle
Pleating your hair is going to instantly look like you are so IN. No joke. If you can't braid then this will immediately make you look damn pro.

ACCESSORIES

I have been on a search for the right floppy hat for Singapore's weather. Winter is just over and all we got here in the shops are wool floppy hats. It is way too hot for our weather!! Imagine sweat beads accumulated in our floppy hats!

Panama Hat has been around for a while but this has creeping into the Singapore shores. I guess it has been accepted as someting useful that blocks the sun, simple enough to pair and yet it doesn't scream LOOK AT ME.

The must have brand would have to be Chrome hearts baseball cap right? This look would be the most trendy for mummies who love to be in their shorts. It will immediately spruce up an oufit and you can look stylish quick enough.

       Chrome Hearts

Mansur Gavriel Bucket bag seems to be the bags that keeps popping up on my reads and instagram. If you are not travelling to grab this overseas but is dying for a similar bag, I saw it on pssttt (Sandy Trove)

We need to stop wearing slippers.. period. I found these 2 gorgeous looking sandals that can go really well with the current midi skirts and culottes. This can help us without loading us with the weights we suffer with when we attempt to wear heels and carry the children.

Fashion
Culottes are a blast from the past! To think I used to wear this style to clubbing! I am very excited about this comfy culottes as it is so wearable to go out with the kiddo and rough it out. It even comes with pockets!
Smoochthelabel.com
Kimono tops are great! Soft and fresh looking to spruce up any outfit.  I love the especially the spring motifs. These the type of tops you can safely keep in the closet and bring it out every spring.
Stylebystef
I love how if you put both looks together, minimalist and functional.

River Island

If you are looking for prints, keep a look out for the Big Flower Motif. This particular print is everywhere from dresses to midi skirts. Even Zoe Tay wore it to Star Awards 2015!

Makeup

Korean Makeup are still trending and please contact me if you have not learn the latest makeup looks! Lips are bright and you can tone it down by layering it on your nude lippie!

My goal

Many people have started coming up to me noticing a great change in me. Working towards a big goal is a challenge but you are like me waking up daily excited to discover and passing it on to others who hasnt got a chance to receive such goodness, it is to be a mission.

The goal to be a National sales director is not a title, it is a journey that shows the many people I have help create success and am part of their stories. I may not be an individual that reads the bible daily or speak of god. But I am a believer of my faith and that he will only put me in a place where my god given abilities and talents are made to good use.

This is my give back for all the blessings that has come my way.  Learn to give only when you get to receive. Send me the blessings to constantly have the strength and positivity daily. Thank you

My 2 front teeth

I was comfortably lying in my bed, reading a book and then came endless screaming, followed by crying by V. Got the daddy to check and his version of checking was "Why the crying?" (shouting from our room.)

About few mins later, the small one came into the room "jiejie cry, dropped her teeth" climbed up the bed and pretended to lie down. Now all mummies will know this is a sign of mischief. The daddy came up at the moment with a tooth. I took it and placed it into the ziplock bag that held her 2nd tooth (she ate her 1st).

Walked down and saw a distressed child, obviously stoked by the amount of blood that is paired to a tooth. Checked and realized she lost TWO front teeth!! There was already a party of family hovering over her with a little meek girl looking on by the stairs, fearing she will get scolded. Daddy searched and found the 2nd tooth! The grandparents n god ma was appeasing  and digging out versions on what happen. In the midst of crying we believe it got to do with tripping on each other and V hit her teeth. Resulting with a pool of blood and a shocked child.

I carried the big girl and looked around, realized the amount of attention she is getting over 2 front teeth. At that moment it felt like she was getting married-So typical of a eurasian family. Everyone has something nice to say to the battered and wounded child who hasn't stopped crying.

1 night, 2 lost teeth and advanced into another level in my parenting. I need a tooth container. Anyone?

My Little Pony Party Surprise 'Live' on Stage at City Square Mall

Saturday 14th march has been a FULL day of My Little Pony. If you are not in the loop, this is fashion - children fashion. The era of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twillight Sparkle and something something. I tried wiki and the names are overwhelming and V is zzz, so no one to help me.

We started the day at the girl's school Family day where I somehow by a sudden spur of some enthusiasm decided that we will do a tiny stall to sell My Little Pony badges. Wow, how exciting! not. I do get regrets sometimes hahhaha.
Badges my cousin wanted to give away. She designed them herself!
I grabbed whatever toys we had at home to prettify the little stall. Printed 2 signs to inform the children of our sales, prep V on her duties and sent the husband + K off somewhere so that we can have a good start without disturbance. It started great, I sold 3 even before V got ready to start work.

Step 1 to succes: Wear it, show it, flaunt it!
Step 2: Jio your besties, get your mother to text all her mummies group chat, get support from familar faces .
Step 3: Don't gender discriminate. Boys like My Little Pony also!
Step 4: Keep the crowd. They bring more sales. Make use of siblings of friends and friends of siblings. Widen THAT circle
Step 5: Leave the stall and have fun with the classmates. Daddy will handle it.
Yes, you read right. She disappeared because her classmates came streaming in and they went out to play !!! So I arrowed the father to look ater the stall while I had to help out another mummy with glitter tattoos. In his words "These things sell by itself, I didn't even have to say much" Word. We managed to earn over $100 to add into the school's fund raising after 3 hours of "work" I did ask V for her thoughts during luch and she said, "Boring, tiring, must talk so much" Guess she managed to understand 1% of what her parents mean by work.

After the family carnival, we rushed to media event of My Little Pony Surprise 'Live' On Stage. Besides watching you can go to Level 1 City Green where you get to feed, ride and take photos with ponies!!!!! * jealous much u know this mother. March Monster Mash

Just came back from Gardens By the Bay! We were kindly invited by Angie of lifestinymiracles.com to attend a Movie Screening : Where the Wild Things are at the Supertree Grove.

The girls got all excited to be attending a media event, predominately V, K decided not to nap (crap), the husband decided to, well have a night of solitude *wins hands down. So I was to fend going by myself absolutely forgetting how tiring it can be with 2 of them and that I do not have extra pair of hands for whiny, tired children especially 2 that NAGS at 10pm. We sort of got lost, you see I MUST REMEMBER to park correctly and that the 1st carpark is to the Super Grove! You would not believe we got lost getting out of the Super Grove. *note no extra hands and got to carry big yellow car and goodie bags and my handbag and small tired 2 year old and naggy 6 year old. Okie breathe and rant is over.

Man, the event was awesome! I loved it to bits. If they do run this again , please please do experience it for yourself. So from now Friday 13th March till Sunday 22 March, do pay Gardens By the Bay a Visit! The program outline is listed in their website and I have no idea how to create a stylo mylo table to key everything in.
Click here for the comprehensive listing

We arrived to SuperGrove and saw familiar faces! It has been awhile since I last attended anything. So it is always nice to catch up and give hugs.

The children got busy with decorating their car, not that K helped much. I set up the pinic mat on what is very nice fake real grass. I think is real la, feels real but somehow looks not. Then in SG we are capable to do anything.

The big yellow car that sits the children real comfortably
Do be early to get a nice cosy spot

The movie started at about 8pm, it got them quiet for 20 mins then the grumbling about the sound so loud, the grass so prickly, so hungry, why so dark. Yeah, sounds familar huh. Oh and we had to go for toilet break. I managed to get a hot pizza to keep them quiet for another 30 mins then the small one repeatedly repeated to me "Go home mummy, I want to go home" for at least 50 times. I have not shared much about her the last 2 years so as not to jinx the good behavious but I have a persistent NAGGER in this one. *raises my hands up to heaven
20 mins into the movie

My attempt to keep her quiet, sleeping on the boobs helped
Definitely a great experience with such beautiful backdrop
My very lame attempt to be artistic. Monsters and all *huhuhu

Back on Blogger Again

Finally made THE decision

Gosh I miss blogging! I took a hiatus from blogging in 2014. There was a certain confusion of where my blog should steer, I was crawling out of my shell as an insecure mummy to be someone who knew exactly where she is going. My usual rants sort of died down from being an immature to a sort of "experienced" mother of 2. I started doing reviews and sharing about what was new in the market and it was a interesting learning curve. The game plan was no longer the same and I changed the direction of being Victoria-eden.blogspot to Flomummy.com as it was not apt to write under my 1st born anymore. What started as the journal of pregnancy till year 1 sort of managed a life span (thank you readers!) and soon we are arriving into year 7!

Migrating to wordpress made me felt like I have moved to a foreign land and it became hostile to staying there. Adjusting to it took too much effort and in 2015 I relook at that platform once again. I was this close to giving wordpress a 2nd chance with a new blog facelift but in the end everything steered towards DIY. It took some adjusting and I sniffed around the blogs I "grew" up in, Facebook-ed a few old OLD blogging kakis (Note CheekieMonkies thanks love!)  whose blogs resonate with me and here I am back at Blogger!

My supportive bloggers friends have been giving me loads of advice lifestinymiracles.commamawearpapashirt.comaccidental-mom-blogger.blogspot.sgdominiquegoh.com, and many few others who listened and laughed together with me on my process to be back here! Thank you all love.

So presenting a blogger template I bought on Etsy for USD $25! If you haven't gone into there yet? Omg its a shopping haven in there and it gets crazy when everything looks nice (well, nicer than your own, you know!) I narrowed to 2 and eventually "Leighton" template was the winner. Honestly, it was the other one with pastel rainbow but the HUSBAND chose this. So just to let you know, the blogger spouse gets to have ONE say since he is the one who has to lug and follow to events (which in our relationship takes ALOT *just saying)

The old header that was 3 years old and I couldn't bear looking at the highchair anymore!

Simple

This blog will still be what I love to write about especially my thoughts, the things I do daily and of course the time I spend with my children. It was a great break from events in 2014 and in these 4 days, I packed 4 events before a biz trip. So backlogs and labelling my blog *again!! will be the mission or maybe I won't bother much about the labeling la. *lazy bones. Following the 20/80 pareto rule, do the 20% will be just as efficient.

We just did 2 events and I know V loves being back blogging coz she couldn't stop hugging me today. (Guess I was not the only one who miss this aspect of our lives) It has become a part of us, to share, to inspire, to be connected.

How to Dress Fabulous as a Mother- Style

{Style}
Sydne-Style-A-to-Z-Trend-Guide-Spring-Summer-2014-New-York-Fashion-Week-Runway-Kate-Spade-BCBG-Ralph-Lauren-Nicole-Miller-
My focus for this trip are the children and I need to be really comfortable with the  temperature fluctuating from 24 to 13 degrees in a day. Pockets for to keep my handphone on me without the need to carry a bag for I will be in charge to carry Kate who btw is a heavyweight.  So after much thought,  I decided to pair my Blacks and Whites with a pair of trusty jeans and a dotty (dots are a very current print) winter coat that I got from my last trip to Las Vegas.  Then it won't be Florinda if I don't pair it with my statement accessories! Stay tuned for my post after my trip where I share with you the details of the outfits for the photos do not do justice to the mixed materials and designs that I specially chose !
