Oops sori its upside down.. No idea. He reminds me to look out for his declaration on the papers on valentines day. So I did...

Was ready beautiful .. Posted in fb and got like 80 likes!! Mostly from the girls lol, guys must be thinking it's pretty tacky hyak hyak... At 1st I tot was my
Sil's lobang, but after some probing... Trev actually thought of it and made my sil look for the in charge since my sil gets interviewed almost everytime in the new paper. So after some pulled strings and $100 later, comes a very romantic declaration. <3

Glamour Kiddies

We were in Liang Court and I stumbled onto this shop. Its just on the same floor as Royce Gym, I was very attracted by the deco and the all princess theme. Since V was in this stage, we made a visit to the stop and discovered that they had some children catwalk on. Hahahah so we thought, okie why not... just for the fun of it. I mean thats why we have a girl right? its for us to play pretty with....

Its a package of 4 lessons and it costs $20 each time. Which was not a hefty amount and the session includes hair styling, makeup, many changes of outfit (handmade), tea break hahhahah. sounds too fun to reject it.. seriously!

So we had V all dolled up, here is her with some Vroom hairdo.

They had some makeup - Organic and children safe makeup.

Gorgeous ya???
Then they got behind the curtains and had their outfits changed. Here is her peeking behind the curtains while we patiently waited for her :)
Her 1st groovy outfit
they went for a change and returned with a princess gown hahhaha
Serious posing... new bff for the day.
Outfit 3..
Outfit 4: upset coz of the colour, so she skipped one walk and got herself another change
Outfit 5: something blue for a sunday best
After about 2 hours, styling, changing, walking and all... the children has a nice tea break with melamine champagne flutes, awesome looking furniture... all fit for a princess. What is good is that its not a modelling agency but some place a child can just play doll up . She enjoyed it so much!! She is looking forward to more sessions, what's best is that you need not commit to weekly fun as you can opt to come when you are free, just have to inform the boss :)

Ukulele lessons

Since she is still too young to learn piano, the grandfather decided to take his ukelele and practice, hoping to entice V with learning the instrument. So the last few days, the house has been filled with music from the instrument. V is definitely keen on learning music from that toy like instrument although she keeps standing in front of the grandfather wondering why that toy can make such wonderful sounds. Just a little few more sessions and I'm sure she will be ready to pick up the ukulele to play a few notes.

Sleeping ... Not with me

Daddy made her watch some dog show and made her cry.... U know that Japanese one and the owner dies and the dog stood guard blah blah blah...

Ya it made her cry and she went to look for her grandma downstairs. I came back about 10pm, after getting daddy his supper and didnt see her. Daddy went to check and she decided to sleep with the grands coz the movie made her so upset.

Now I'm in bed (while the husband has fallen asleep!) without my daughter, we thought she wouldnt want to sleep with the grands (tried a few times) and I hear the arming of the alarm which means all is asleep. Except me of course...

My 1st night on my bed without my princess, looks like she is all grown up. I long for a night like this but it's funny... I cannot sleep :(

At 3

We went to the PD finally.... If not for the nasty rash (fungal) we may not seriously move our butt to go there. As usually we are your classic patients u do not wish to have. We took 40 mins in the clinic and was given the dagger eyes when we came out!!!!

The last visit was when she was I guess 15 -18 mths. Cannot remb , ya this long ago. Dr Tan was real pleased to see her and was like "I remb this one, had to see a specialist or something" hahaha. I updated her on her breath holding fits which stopped coz we give it to her most of the time. But did tell her, V missed the tantrum sprees that her friends are going through. She actually skipped this stage, coz 1. We give in 2. We reason 3. We home bound. Hahaha actually we plan our day according to her moods. If she wakes up all smiley , it's a packed day. If she is grumpy early, we usually cancel all plans and go home to sleep keke. Coz I have no patience if she doesn't want to eat or listen, I just drive home. Simple actually ... This is y we hardly see a melt down from her.

Princess is 92cm & 12 kg, still in her 25% percentile. Got her all the vaccines which we like missed totally!! Mmr + chicken pox and DPT... All done without any tears and yet she gave a smile after. Dr & nurse gave her much praises as they expecting some drama. We came home n I announced to everyone about how brave she was! N u can expect all the clapping, hi 5 she had!

I misplaced her health book n CDA card. It's somewhere but don't know where *sigh. I paid $307! damn bloody expensive . More so when I'm paying ! But its all worth when I know I have a healthy child :) best part today was when I was I'm the clinic she shouted " mummy mummy look behind u, there... It's buzzing above your head!" you know when was the last time I heard anyone using the word "BUZZING" ???? It's almost extinct!

Being 3

Sorry my mpb has a kuku iphoto which crashes every time I launch it... So no photos

Was supposed to blog on her bday but after the week long of celebration, I chose to just sleep my time away. I mean who wouldn't right? 1st there was cny, then her lunar bday on the 2nd day of cny, shopping on wed, birthday party in school on thurs. We spent her birthday at Universal Studio and had a stay cation at sentosa -Amara (fantastic hotel btw! The bed is to DIE for!! We are so coming back just to sleep lol) walked abouts in sentosa on saturday. Which is why I slept my Sunday away....

Her birthday was a blast! We all had an enjoyable time (will blog on wat we did) Best part of everything was on her birthday, just about when she was to sleep. She looked at me "mummy, has my birthday arrive?" man :S so much for saying happy birthday almost everything till she got confused on her actual day. Of course I gave her a peck and told her "yes but of course, in just 1/2 hour more, it will be ur actual birthday" :)

Love this child to bits, can't wait for her to grow up n travel the world with me!! Where I finally can get a kaki to go tea on London, shop in Paris, watch musical in New York! God gives me a daughter to replace a workaholic husband that does not like travelling too far or away for too long. So cannot wait for her to grow older to do our educational tours together!

Enrichment

Im planning for V's next chartered course. Where its seems pretty vague for now, but we all know the final destination. When she was a lot younger, I would put her in loads of enrichment classes coz I was seriously bored at home. Then came a point the family kinda of told us is it necessary to put ourselves through all this? We spoke about it and realized if we do need to do anything out of school context it will have to be something that she requests. Sometimes there are days when we see her peers doing or saying something she has never spoke about, I would wonder? The What ifs?

But the best part of this family is that we never push each other in whatever we want, I have come to realized that this is a very important part of parenting. Trev never pushes me to do anything, he just supports it. For me, I would tell him my directions and he digests it to achieve our family goals. This is why a family is so great. Its never a independent realization of goals.... I am usually the one with the ideas, whether its a new car, a new place or a child, its always my suggestion. Trev just listens and would tell me his decision on whether its workable at this point in time.

This parenting style will V has worked real well with her, giving her no pressure to allow her to explore many possibilities in what ever she chooses in her next course. Remember I have mentioned that we do not read to her when she was younger coz she seemed not interested? Didn't want to force her to do something although we know its right but not at this moment. That day we went shopping and she saw this tour agency... walked up to the brochures and pointed to tell me "you see there is a castle, cathedral, church" Man, was I amazed! In recent days, she has been going to her library to pick up books with paragraphs.

Its amazing the things she picks up listening to the adults talk, we don't baby talk which is why she speaks in sentences very early in her life. We don't do single words, it always have to be included in a sentence. She watches History channel with her pops, filipino soap drama with Tita, news with nana. Best of all she LOVES thrillers- never really believe till I saw her lying on bed watching suspense movie with the father. Seriously quite crappy I think hahahahha. Too young right? but thats her choice so oh well.

She has been pretty bugging me about her music course, everyday its "Mummy, can I play piano, learn piano etc" I expose her to a wide range of musical instruments, but she still insists on Piano. We watch classical musical on TV (Okto) and she only wants piano. This has been much discussed and she will not learn till she is closer to 4 years old. We tried her on the piano we had at home and her fingers are way too fragile to press it down. Pops don't allow a child piano at home ;( says that a musician should never be allowed a toy but be exposed to the original. *whatever. We believe she is very serious in this choice of instrument despite the many types of instrument in the studio....

This was her 4th song on the electronic piano, those with a preset music. I managed to take a video later as we were all amazed by her rhythm and tempo.  You can check out the way she was " false playing" on the piano, it was not like other children hitting the piano but actually follow the music. The grandfather was very proud coz his grandchild may finally inherit his music talent hahahha.

4th Day of cry

God, help me....

We all stopped work on 20th Jan, so technically we have not been working since 21st..... its 26th today and we are all going mad in this house. Being coped up in this house and lunching, dinnering together for the last 7 days seemed to be getting too much. MIL is driving all of mad, I think we are driving her insane that ALL of us are invading into her daily life, with my FIL around for too long. In this house, we hardly have everyone at home, coz we all take turns to fly or if not have to be working. So this time round this is way to long to be together.

Trev is starting work tomorrow, FIL and me on monday. We are all so itching to go to work!!!!  Just few more hours and Trev& me will go Sentosa to celebrate V's birthday. I took the liberty to book ourselves a room for I cannot stand another day here, surprisingly Trev felt the same way too! FIL is flying off on sat, I'm working on monday, Trev is flying off next week. Then we will all be back into our little bubble of comfort and enjoy personal time away from the here.

Did I mention that the dogs drive us silly sometimes!

Can't wait to throw myself back to work.. remind me next time if I take a long break. Coz its makes me stupid.... I have been sleeping daily from 12am-10am. Nap 2-5pm ... hahhaha damn good life!

Happy CNY

We realised that I hardly take a photo with V, this cny we made an effort to take one. Think we look gorgeous :)

17 already?

Damn, I was just doing my work and I realized that its the 17th jan? like how fast can time fly? I mean I know that they say time is passing by faster with the world spinning at some speed or something like that.. as u already know, I don't listen when it doesn't interest me. I don't get interested in 1. numbers, 2. physics, 3. chemical stuffs....  But as Im writing this post, Im damning my self for not taking note of what was said.

So what has happened .. hmm..

Oh My sis's mil passed on, on the 16 jan. Received the sms in the morning.... I'm glad her suffering has terminated.. I postponed my work and trev too to be there later, the nieces are asking for V to go.. but eh, too young for funeral right? not sure, gotta ask around. but knowing my SUPER superstitious eurasian Mil, it will be a NO. Aunty Mimi was really a power mother, I have to say the things she did for her children and the grands, kow tow is not enough. she was diagnosed with breast cancer many years ago, got it fixed and survived. Brave and determined fiesty lady... but after the "safe" years, definitely more than 5 years WITH that regular checkup. They found that ONE FINE DAY it has spread to many parts of body like suddenly :(

It was so aggressive it attacked everywhere FAST even the vagina.... her final days were spent in her room lying in bed (immobile) and crying. She hardly slept and stares at the small spot everyday, must be thinking of those pleasant moments she have lived her life. I'm sure my nieces made her life all worthwhile... Its hard to know that my nieces will be left without a paternal grandmother - the lady that they stayed with for so long, brought them up..... its really hard to lose someone so young, not even 60 years.

Its days like this I know my decision to have V's grandparents so heavily involved in her upbringing is the correct move. Coz when they leave, its going to be a long time when we all are together again :(

Love, treasure.... these people are those who brought you and your spouse up. Never let your child miss out with whatever they have to offer ...... Grandparents love are the most unconditional!  okie I'm crying now sobz.....

wifi

you see I wrote a long post.. then i pressed something and it disappear. :(

Not sure if I have ranted on the wifi of this house? u know the one Trev spent close to $1k and much of his time and after much drilling still don't work blog post?  or was I delusional and wrote that in my thoughts? hmmm... I have loads of things on my mind on most days, but it doesnt get written down here as its a chore to write in my iphone and absolutely irritating to write on the stairs (with laptop). Why? coz I have to be near the child and if I go downstairs, I usually forget to sleep. sigh...

this freaking useless wifi is driving me mad, how can it happen in 2012??? if you dont understand me correctly. I explain again. We pay for wifi every month but I use 3G on my iphone, ipad, and some times on my laptop. Why again? coz the stoopid wifi and router doesn't work well on our floor.  Crap right? tell singtel....

can't wait that new thing they call fiber or something......
