Polling weekend

I took this weekend off to do things that I have been holding off for the longest time and thats doing LIVER DETOX!

Yesterday, visited my porpor and got so excited with my mum's half boiled eggs hahaha. I learnt how my mum can cook , put in a thermos flask and crack open 2 perfect half boiled eggs! Domestication at its highest level. My por por started commenting on my outfit, that my "so expensive limited edition 501" has got a hole n asked me to patch it up. Say i wear trucker cap so ah boy. Zzzzz anyways thats her la, any comments positive or negative is a compliment.

Then my cousins came and took over the  brunt of my compliments hehe. I helped them take #ootd coz they say i take awesome shots #abuden #blogger #leh

Only if my husband can take ootd like this. I havent mastered the skills of self timer ootd #stilllearning

Today is detox and im dying at the lack of food!!!

God's Providence

Today is one of those days it seems that there were so many messages sent to me in many forms.

I slept in late due to crazy weekend events, the children and I open our eyes at 10am! Rushed up and got ready for our trip to school. The parents did our 1st rehearsals for teacher's day and it was 2 hours of laughter of 10 ladies behaving silly. After that, me and Ailei (mummy of k's classmate) went to Jumbo to have lunch coz they are having 25% off (SG50 promotions).

While there, we were asked to share the VIP room with other customers due to a full load and we stepped into a lunch with the principal, her pastor husband and their daughter. Super awkward coz they were having their private time and there we were intruding. But they were very welcoming and we had a very nice converstation. Their daughter was sharing with us her missionary voluntary work overseas and her lifestyle on not being paid, living off the organisations, 80 ladies sharing a house that has 3 toilets and living in unsafe areas. You see these people sitting on my table are a bunch of educated individuals with a calling far greater than themselves. They listen to God and they faithfully followed.

I questioned myself at that moment of my calling. The thing is, I know I am constantly blessed by God and yet I do not proclaim his wonderous love to me loud enough.

A day of a mommy

Started today real early at 5am, got ready and sent my Father-in-Law to the airport at 6 am. Got into Raffles area and started my 1st meeting at 730! Here is a gorgeous photo of Singapore sunrise.

Singapore sunrise at Tower Club
By the time it was 12pm, I was stoned from the heat! The best part I was in the aircon room but yet was hit, so I took a shut eye for 30 mins to charge up and continue with work. Thank goodness I get to sms for work as I shift between 10 chats at 1 shot. No one answers calls anymore, right?

I ended my work early at 1pm and took the day off since this is my only night I cleared for the children. Picked them up and chatted with some mummies along the way to catch up. Today's topic was on V's teeth hahaha, aiyo it just drops a lot. Got home changed and went for some snacks at Chicken Up, I couldn't resist having the beer hoping it will cool my heat.  The children enjoyed the chicken 'n truffles fries and they do have good lunch deals. I am so eyeing on their watermelon soju, omg so yums!

toothless
Brought them to ToysRus to get V's bff's birthday present, its going to be a swim party. Come to think  if I could turn back time, I could attend more birthday parties :(. Now that they are ending pre-school, it saddens me to think they are not going to have their friends with them as they move on to their next stage ** emo.
photo op
Then aiya my #2 decides to have a nose bleed. Those super random type from her stuffed nose, looks like this one has my airways. My ENT is my weak point and she seems to have inherited from me. This is her 2nd time she has nose bleed, definitely needs to monitor her trends.

I got some swesome photos of them in their school uniform but dunno how to blur their uniform. These are moments when I regret deleting photo apps! arghh coz I was sure I had one that mosiac the background. Anyone knows?

Just a day in my life

Just finished my day and suddenly I felt a urge to blog. Here is a photo of me leaving the building and carry sponges and cotton wools! This is a OOTD of a beauty trainer!!

Today has been fruitful, ran into town to deliver products to my customer. Went to Far East Plaza to get my yummy rojak fix and ran into an ex collegue. The thing about chatting with ex crew is that "its like yesterday", I left the industry for 7 years already Man! I am super grateful to Facebook and the ability to help me link to my friends!

small one's hair grew a little overnight hehe
Next, I went back to school to check out a teacher's day performance. Yeah, I am co-ordinating the Teacher's day 2015! From last year's experience, me and lisa (session 1) are on a roll this year since we have all our materials kept from last. Is always so fun to deal with parent volunteers and build a program together.

After school, I brought the kiddos to H&M to get some stuffs and the staff there made me wonder why I bother shopping there. I got a nagging from a staff because I requested him to cut the string that was tying the pair of shoes, He commented that "just need to fit what, why must remove?" he then rattled on and on, finally plogged the shoes in front of me disgruntled. I took them "MUST YOU BE SO NASTY?" in a calm, expressionless face. Mainly, felt there wasn't a need to tell him a story of customer service.  I just felt he was young, emotionless, young, young, inexperienced and ignorant. But walau by the time I reached 1st floor, I just felt that the manager needed to know that staff of this caliber CANNOT be in the children's department. You know right? IKR! So I told the manager as a positive feedback to that they can guide him on customer service and how children MUST have shoes without strings to walk and try.. YOU KNOW?

Anyway I was really composed, try me few years back and poor sod may already have a earful because of his bad behaviour. How can a young boy have so much to nag?

So drove back home to drop the children off and settle some calls regarding work. Left the house and got into Mary Kay beauty center for a training by a guest trainer.  Had Korean dinner with my favourite people and chatted with some consultants in my 5 mins window of time between packing, organising shopping and directing some work.

Thought I share with you this and it is really useful to have a successful life.

Kangen water

In the recent months, I have been meeting a few friends who have been advocating the importance of water and I felt it to be very apt to share with you what they have been sharing. We are sure there are people who have been searching for solutions.

Here is a testimony of our friend Katie, a former cancer patient who has recovered from this terminal disease completely.

Katie's Testimony (written by her)

In June 2012, I was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.  I was advised to go for surgery to remove the tumour which I readily agreed. After 1 month, the Doctor referred me to a cancer Specialist and I was given the choice to go for chemo treatment.  Being a Christian, I prayed to Jesus for direction.  And God brought me 4 friends who went through chemo and their advice was if I have the choice, do not go for chemo because most chemo would bring down our immunity and made difficult for my body to fight back the remaining cancereous cells which may still be hiding in my body.  I took their advice seriously and prayed about my choice, i.e not to go for chemo and I felt the peace but I also told myself if it didn't work, I have to bear all the responsibility because I was the one who made the final decision.

At the same time another friend recommended me to this renowned TCM doctor.  In the past, I never believed in TCM but nevertheless, I gave it a try.  By the way, there were many friends offered me different kinds of solutions but eventually I choose TCM even though it was very costly.  Within a span of 7 months, I spent over 20K on this TCM alone.  Though the TCM was good but somehow, I still felt weak.  And I had a breakthrough in Chinese New Year 2013.  What happened was I met this lady from my Church at our Pastor's house and she is a Distributor for Kangen Water for this company call, Enagic. Immediately, she recommended me Kangen water to drink and also to cook my TCM.  To my surprise,  my TCM worked so well with this water, I got a my energy back and when I went for my colonscpy 3 months later, the Doctor gave me a clean bill of health. Subsequent tests also showed good result, till now. Later on then I understood that Kangen Water has micro-clustering properties, meaning the moledules are small compared to tap water, so it can absorb over 90% of the nutrients to my cell level and removed the toxin waste from my body as compared to using tap water to boil my TCM which only absorbed about 60% of the nutrients into my body cell. Besides, drinking Kangen Water, I changed my diet, changed my lifestyle by sleeping early and do exercise. Now, I avoid BBQ and deep fried food because they produce free radicals and red meat like beef, mutton and pork because they are acidic. And no milk, less sugar for me because all these are cancer causing agent. Also no can food or preserved food on my dining table.

Now my diet consists of :-

 a)  Fish and chicken.
 b)  All types of vegetables especially Broccoli, Asparigus, Tomatoes, Red Carrots, Chye Sim, Purple Cabbage, Beet roots, Lotus roots etc.
c)  All kinds of fruits except durians.
d)  Nuts like almond, walnut, hazel nut, cashew nuts, pistacios, etc. (note:  peanuts are not very good)
e)  Soya beans, black beans, long beans, french beans, etc.
f)   Fresh or Dried Mushroom (eg. shitake, golden mushroom, etc) but not the canned mushrooms.

****How you prepare them is very important -- Cook them by steaming, boiling or stir fry.  DO NOT DEEP FRY or BBQ them and don't reuse your cooking oil.

Basically, I am returning to basic.......Now, I am a healthy individual and a champion cancer survivor and I thank God for giving me a second chance.

Note:  According to my TCM Doctor, Chinese monks and nuns also suffered from cancer.  Two reasons to this, one is because they deep fried things their "tow kee", mock prawns, fish, etc or BBQ them and taking in all kinds of pesticides because their fruits and vegetables contained oil base pesticides which cannot be washed off with tap water but our 11.5pH can.

Katie and Henry

Henry shared this article with me which is about how our body oxides title : The unsuspected serial killer

Body oxidation is commonly known as the cause of creating free radicals in the body, which would in turn attack healthy cells to turn them into irregular cells that cause chronic diseases and cancers,  if unchecked.
And hence we have in abundance all kinds of anti-oxidants in the wellness market to reduce the oxidants in our body. But why is it that the rate of people contacting cancers and chronic diseases are still growing at an alarming rate?

This is mainly due to the the most unsuspected serial killer inside us -----the water we drink.

Using the Paper Clip test

How do know if our drinking water is oxidizing?

Here is an easy testing you can do yourself. We all know oxidation will cause metal to rust. So to tell whether the water you drink is oxidizing, you simple have to put a paper clip in a jar of your drinking water (boiled tap water, filtered water, bottled waters etc) If the water can oxidize the paperclip and turn it into a rusty paper clip, it means what you drink will create your body oxidation too. If the water you drink is oxidizing, no amount of supplements you can take to replace the oxidant in the water you drink, as 70% of our body is water, and 90% of our blood is water. The remedy Change the water to water that is full of anti oxidants. Kangen water is one that is full of them (active hydrogen, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium). Therefore it will not rust the paper clip, When you drink Kangen water, 90% of your blood will become antioxidant and as a result will strengthen your body.

Please see pictures

The paper clip in tap water is still rusting over 6 months, and the clip in kangen water is still unstained for the same period.
If you believe in taking antioxidant supplements then you should drink anti oxidant water. That’s the only way to make the major part of the body anti oxidant, Thia is the best way to protect your family from cancer and chronic diseases.

I hope this helps you with understanding what can potentially help you in your lifestyle. With the permission of Katie and Henry, they have gladly left their email in this post for you to contact them. God bless and we truly hope this post can be of some help.

Please contact Henry at 90623535 or henryfhs@gmail.com for enquires on the benefits of the water or to contact Katie!

KidStartNow: Show and Tell Camp

Those who I have met up recently will know our family is great fan of KidStartNow. We have been gushing about how it has helped V enjoy Chinese and singing along to the CDs we have in the car. I haven't been around most of the Saturdays as I was on business trips. Like a month ago, Daddy was giving his feedback on the lessons and asked V to read her KidStartNow school file while we were having our lunch. To my amazement! She read almost every word! To me this is time and money well spent on a child. Her interest has spiked and this has brought relief to me most of all since I am 'in charge" of her Chinese (sad to say the responsibilities lies on me)

Why does this works for us?

The school has everything we need for our child. It includes role-playing, which builds up confidence and gives her the opportunity to speak out versus reading in groups. It helps her build up vocabulary by the introduction of their animated storybooks (designed in-house and based off new Primary school syllabus) Their teachers and curriculum are 100% focused on helping English-speaking kids love to learn Chinese and excel in primary school (most centers cater to a more diverse range of students) The class environment is very encouraging, and they celebrate small victories and not let kids feel demoralized.

We have been with the school for 2 terms now and Dan offered us a holiday program, which is a comprehensive 4 days introduction to their regular schedule.

Show and tell and word recognition camps (6-8 year olds, 4 days 2 hours per day)
•   Focus is on preparing English-speaking kids for show and tell in primary school by boosting vocabulary and oral confidence
•   Some role-playing activities as well, together with a show and tell presentation in front of classmates on the last day
•   K2 kids who join this camp must have a requisite level of spoken Chinese
•   Develops interest in reading and learning Chinese through animated storybooks
•   Max of 10 students to a class
Intermediate role-playing and conversation camp (5-8 year olds, Bedok, max 10 per class)
•   Jul 7-10 (Tue-Fri, 10-12pm) or Jul 21-24 (10-12pm)
•   Targets international school students and kids living in non-Chinese speaking countries that are back on holiday
•   Requires basic understanding of Chinese
•   Focus on role-playing and oral conversation and not on word recognition
•   More fun and less academic vs regular enrichment classes
•   Develops interest in reading and learning Chinese through animated storybooks
•   Max of 10 students to a class

•   $295 per child, or sign up in groups of 2+ to enjoy a discount of $55 per child ($240 vs $295 per child)

Here are some photos that the school sent over.

I pulled some comments up for your reading pleasure:

Daddy's review: I like the payment scheme (truth, he doesn't mince his words) it is affordable a term and most importantly it is effective.

**I got you the latest pricing, weekdays/weekends
N2: $350/$390 for 12 lessons
K1/K2: $380/$420 for 12 lessons
P1: $360/$400 for 10 lessons

Teacher Hong Mei 's comment: Victoria’s ability to listen and speak Chinese is getting better, and is growing in confidence when speaking and presenting. In particular, she was able to loudly (relative to the past) and accurately conduct the show and tell presentation, and we are really happy about her improvement. Keep it up!

Victoria: I like to play and watch the videos that they show in class. I love the classroom because it feels like I am in the ship.

Style and Fashion 2015

Just an update of what is to come for the next 6 months. True to FloMummy's style, I will only recommend readers style items that affordable and yet it can make you look trendy. The trends I am concentrating on this post on mummy wearables which will have my reccomendations on your new hair do and colour, maybe buy some new pieces to look current while you to run around with the children. Of course carry a new bag and wear a new pair of sandals rather than your usual havaianas………. All without breaking the bank.

HAIR

Lob also known as Long Bob.
Things that make you look older than you are has to be the hair. If you are in dire straits to get a new cut and have absolutely no guts to go bob. Try this! Guarantee to make you look fresh and please get a nice warm colour along with it.

Big Ribbon are a great clip to have it you are growing out your hair. It goes very well with the korean fashion and I find it very useful on days I run out of time to blow dry my hair. Please don't use scrunchie :(

The latest hair trend is Babylights, the highlights are very fine and subtle which are designed to mimic the sunkissed tones that your hair would naturally have. This look is super low maintance and all you have to do is ensure that your hair looks dynamic and really healthy.

Instyle
Pleating your hair is going to instantly look like you are so IN. No joke. If you can't braid then this will immediately make you look damn pro.

ACCESSORIES

I have been on a search for the right floppy hat for Singapore's weather. Winter is just over and all we got here in the shops are wool floppy hats. It is way too hot for our weather!! Imagine sweat beads accumulated in our floppy hats!

Panama Hat has been around for a while but this has creeping into the Singapore shores. I guess it has been accepted as someting useful that blocks the sun, simple enough to pair and yet it doesn't scream LOOK AT ME.

The must have brand would have to be Chrome hearts baseball cap right? This look would be the most trendy for mummies who love to be in their shorts. It will immediately spruce up an oufit and you can look stylish quick enough.

       Chrome Hearts

Mansur Gavriel Bucket bag seems to be the bags that keeps popping up on my reads and instagram. If you are not travelling to grab this overseas but is dying for a similar bag, I saw it on pssttt (Sandy Trove)

We need to stop wearing slippers.. period. I found these 2 gorgeous looking sandals that can go really well with the current midi skirts and culottes. This can help us without loading us with the weights we suffer with when we attempt to wear heels and carry the children.

Fashion
Culottes are a blast from the past! To think I used to wear this style to clubbing! I am very excited about this comfy culottes as it is so wearable to go out with the kiddo and rough it out. It even comes with pockets!
Smoochthelabel.com
Kimono tops are great! Soft and fresh looking to spruce up any outfit.  I love the especially the spring motifs. These the type of tops you can safely keep in the closet and bring it out every spring.
Stylebystef
I love how if you put both looks together, minimalist and functional.

River Island

If you are looking for prints, keep a look out for the Big Flower Motif. This particular print is everywhere from dresses to midi skirts. Even Zoe Tay wore it to Star Awards 2015!

Makeup

Korean Makeup are still trending and please contact me if you have not learn the latest makeup looks! Lips are bright and you can tone it down by layering it on your nude lippie!

My goal

Many people have started coming up to me noticing a great change in me. Working towards a big goal is a challenge but you are like me waking up daily excited to discover and passing it on to others who hasnt got a chance to receive such goodness, it is to be a mission.

The goal to be a National sales director is not a title, it is a journey that shows the many people I have help create success and am part of their stories. I may not be an individual that reads the bible daily or speak of god. But I am a believer of my faith and that he will only put me in a place where my god given abilities and talents are made to good use.

This is my give back for all the blessings that has come my way.  Learn to give only when you get to receive. Send me the blessings to constantly have the strength and positivity daily. Thank you

My 2 front teeth

I was comfortably lying in my bed, reading a book and then came endless screaming, followed by crying by V. Got the daddy to check and his version of checking was "Why the crying?" (shouting from our room.)

About few mins later, the small one came into the room "jiejie cry, dropped her teeth" climbed up the bed and pretended to lie down. Now all mummies will know this is a sign of mischief. The daddy came up at the moment with a tooth. I took it and placed it into the ziplock bag that held her 2nd tooth (she ate her 1st).

Walked down and saw a distressed child, obviously stoked by the amount of blood that is paired to a tooth. Checked and realized she lost TWO front teeth!! There was already a party of family hovering over her with a little meek girl looking on by the stairs, fearing she will get scolded. Daddy searched and found the 2nd tooth! The grandparents n god ma was appeasing  and digging out versions on what happen. In the midst of crying we believe it got to do with tripping on each other and V hit her teeth. Resulting with a pool of blood and a shocked child.

I carried the big girl and looked around, realized the amount of attention she is getting over 2 front teeth. At that moment it felt like she was getting married-So typical of a eurasian family. Everyone has something nice to say to the battered and wounded child who hasn't stopped crying.

1 night, 2 lost teeth and advanced into another level in my parenting. I need a tooth container. Anyone?

My Little Pony Party Surprise 'Live' on Stage at City Square Mall

Saturday 14th march has been a FULL day of My Little Pony. If you are not in the loop, this is fashion - children fashion. The era of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twillight Sparkle and something something. I tried wiki and the names are overwhelming and V is zzz, so no one to help me.

We started the day at the girl's school Family day where I somehow by a sudden spur of some enthusiasm decided that we will do a tiny stall to sell My Little Pony badges. Wow, how exciting! not. I do get regrets sometimes hahhaha.
Badges my cousin wanted to give away. She designed them herself!
I grabbed whatever toys we had at home to prettify the little stall. Printed 2 signs to inform the children of our sales, prep V on her duties and sent the husband + K off somewhere so that we can have a good start without disturbance. It started great, I sold 3 even before V got ready to start work.

Step 1 to succes: Wear it, show it, flaunt it!
Step 2: Jio your besties, get your mother to text all her mummies group chat, get support from familar faces .
Step 3: Don't gender discriminate. Boys like My Little Pony also!
Step 4: Keep the crowd. They bring more sales. Make use of siblings of friends and friends of siblings. Widen THAT circle
Step 5: Leave the stall and have fun with the classmates. Daddy will handle it.
Yes, you read right. She disappeared because her classmates came streaming in and they went out to play !!! So I arrowed the father to look ater the stall while I had to help out another mummy with glitter tattoos. In his words "These things sell by itself, I didn't even have to say much" Word. We managed to earn over $100 to add into the school's fund raising after 3 hours of "work" I did ask V for her thoughts during luch and she said, "Boring, tiring, must talk so much" Guess she managed to understand 1% of what her parents mean by work.

After the family carnival, we rushed to media event of My Little Pony Surprise 'Live' On Stage. Besides watching you can go to Level 1 City Green where you get to feed, ride and take photos with ponies!!!!! * jealous much u know this mother.
