Long weekend

I feel fat

Long weekends are real dangerous.... I think I put on at least 1.5kg this week! Mainly coz we were just eating and eating. What's new right?

This week we meant up with V's friends at Ern's house on saturday, was a makan, chat session for the families to catch up and talk cock. On sunday, did one maid viewing, church, baby shower, "drink" session night at with the same group of friends mainly for the daddies to have a beer and talk cock again.  Came back home at about 10-ish and washed V up and she INSISTED on wearing this to sleep. Still can pose somemore.... after this photo, she went and wore her necklace to bed.

On monday, we did the Singaporean thing by going NTUC to do groceries coz I got a recipe from Caleb's mummy to cook Mee Hoon Kuay.. die die wanted to cook as DD T was at home to look after V. Then only in Singapore you get NTUC selling joss papers! wahahah thats when I knew it was 7th month... people around was buying those big red pails, coffee, instant noodles etc think for praying? There was a 7th month special for rice! Of course we grabbed the deal...  So I did cook my Bee Hoon Kuey (tks Ophe!!).. wa winner la! DD T had 2 big bowls! I didn't even have any more stock left despite I cooked a large pot. V didn't care for it for she don't really like asian dishes...but nevermind...

Then we spent our evening watching the parade and V loved it so much.. DD T was teaching her how to march, giving his commands and she was stomping her feet, shouting whenever the parade commander gave his commands .. keke was like " ah, wa, da" coz she only could catch the last word of the command. When the celebration started, she was dancing especially when they did the "Stand Up for Singapore" song.

Then we saw fireworks form our window... she was enjoying it so much for it was like endless... shouting "Kaboom, boo, boom, boom" Of course she cried when it ended, what's new...  *upset* Told her that we will try to ballot the tickets for NDP next week and DD T was like wa hot lei, you think we can make it? I went for a rehearsal once for my friend had tickets and I came out a little bit more patriotic, hahah its actually fun.Will see how... think its actually quite nice for the kiddos to be able to soak up the atmosphere. DD T then told her, "its okie, there's more end of the month... we get to see the fireworks from Malaysia side" *duhz*
