Play group

okie I think I'm damn lame...

I was chatting with this mummy last week in school and she was telling me how lax as a mother she has become after having 3 children. This last one by the way was an accident... so was telling me how she was into everything with her 1st and now she is not even bothered to sit down with her this child except for few moments in the class, the rest of the time, the helper looks after. So she was intending to put her at the childcare as she says since she is not even fulfilling the "accompanied parent" part of the JG system.

I have been toying with the idea of putting her in a playgroup to burn off her energy and learn something from it aka toilet training *oppsy. Was in DD T's office and was searching for this childcare this mummy mentioned and chanced upon a childcare near his office. Made a call to them and asked I think a bewildered question... "Ermm do u have playgroup for the times I want to run my errands and have me time?"  Guess WHAT!!! They have la.. its called flexible childcare, a drop off on selected days in a week and the child does all the same stuffs as those that attends it daily. Woots!! I drove down, 2-3 buildings away, paid a visit there and got V to mingle with the kiddos there for 1/2 hour or so. She actually likes it la....The childcare centre is pretty branded and most importantly its darn new!!

They start the day at 830am for brekkie, english lessons actual is at 930, lunch, sleep at 1-3pm, tea, chinese after sleep ... they have a great outdoor playground, water play and soon sand play.. *faints it got me impressed even more lol. There was this little gal sobbing her heart out as her "teacher" left the room to get some paper for some crayon activity. The lady explained to me that each child will have a teacher they are attached to, hmm so true la... The chinese teacher was a middle aged very nice china chinese lady, like guaranteed to make your child slang type. The english teacher was quite young, after school type.. the ratio is 2-14/15 children. Overall quite interesting...

So came bac to the office did some sums and it worked out to about $45-$50 (not too sure la) a day, for my gal to do something and be toilet trained *oppsy again!!!  just a thought... since she is in JG playclub Wed n Fri next term (my duty), maybe we can do Tue n Thurs there (daddy's duty).... monday is R&R day at home together... muahahah excuse me, I know I'm quite lame.. but the DD T thinks its an excellent idea and wants her there everyday (coz it will cost him $35 per day)..  and of course I said no... he likes it coz its just next to him and he is around the corner if any thing happens or she is sick...

I'm so trying to strike a balance here and just finding ways to fill this void of learning that V craves so much....
