On a regular day.... Dancing with her fav bear in this house (grands) whom by the way has socks for she insists that bear bear must wear.....

Adverse effects
Adverse effects of was pregnant before...
Today I feel frumps, I have the equal no of people coming to me to ask if I was expecting and the the other telling me I lost weight. Of course the expecting part is causing me more hurt then the slim comments *sigh
I had food poisoning last week and had the water poo for 3 bloody days and it caused me slight piles.. Tks to me expecting V at that time and her weight was around my large intenstine blah blah blah .. Since then I experience this ailment 2 times; once during preggers and the other during confinement. Dr Han says it normal... Crap
After my horrible water poo, my body bloated up! Tummy, face, whatever part la... I think it's my body fearing dehydration ... So I feel FAT... Xmas totally didn't help with my fatness for I had a little to much bubbles which made me bloated .. So now I'm feeling bloated with gas and water. *sigh Now we know if you were pregnant before, the tummy seemed to have rubberized.. Expanding oh so easily!!!!
Anyone with secret something to help me feel just the way I am.. La la la la

Shopping. Kids
Had a appointment postpone which means I really need to do the shopping by today... Royce-ed and lunch with V in the morning, drove her back to the grands and did my shopping when she concussed for 3 1/2 hours today!!!
Made a decision to go United Sq as it's really the kiddos mall.. Walked in ELC saw some stuffs I like but decided to go next door to check out toys r us.
Like omg the massive so many toys I can go crazy and not think straight coz it's too many situation. I walked and got confused... Although the offers were very tempting. But decided to return to me as Florinda , shop abit more classy ... Went back to ELC and was there for 2 hours. *dangs
Great staff in the store for they tolerated my many questions as most of their products didn't have a price tag.. I mean if I had it my way aka means I pay, Cost would not be an issue right? But eh the hb pays for the bill so I have more restriction .. I requested for $500 but he said $400 .... Oh well coz he knows if he doesn't limit me I tend to buy overboard.
But I think I did very well... The ELC staff had to carry everything to the car for me as I stepped into Popular bookstore and bought alot of posters... So it was impossible to carry my loots ..
2 hours of shopping = no space in car ...

Mummies and me
We decided to do a high tea for commemorating us knowing each other for more than 2 years .... eh okie kinda lame, was just something we decided to indulge in.
I think its really cool that mummyhood can actually bond us for so long... the common topics, the bad, the good and the tips of surviving motherhood! How we got excited when a child flip, crawl, walk, talk and now starting to speak in multi syllabus.. simple pleasures.
We each have our own groups as we can't be going out like in 10's right? but as mummies we do really like to catch up and and find that "Me" in our role of motherhood. Its always great to hang around with people who don't judge you for your past but as you current.
yes its the same oh same oh people.... hahahha
tech babies
we royce-ed today..
for those who has no idea what is Royce.. its a play gym or rather toys galore in Liang court.. its our latest hangout for its really damn nice lor!
anyway... this was what happened during lunch at Tampopo
I believe John was the one who had the iphone throughout then came Caleb, whom was chose by V to mimic throughout the lunch... she did exactly what he did during lunch.... From eating the ramen to corn to yakult then of course the iphone hahhaha
I admit we do use iphone as nannies at times though hardly meal times or church time... I do however limit it to a certain extent but I fail to do so for the DVD player in the car *opps.. its my survival tool !!!
Stumbled on this article in yahoo http://sg.yfittopostblog.com/2010/12/16/singapores-answer-to-mark-zuckerberg/ about the young boy who is world's youngest iphone app developer. Cool!
So I guess there is a future for our kids!

Ps I Love You Photography
Did a photo shoot with an aspiring mummy photographer ....
I always love how mummies change their lives around to suit their kiddos and Patricia is one of them. Left her highly paid sales job to spend more time with her 1st born- John and got pregnant with her 2nd during that time. Her passion for photography increased with the birth of the 2nd as she enjoyed taking photos of her new born. After all our encouraging words from us the fellow mummies, she decided to convert her home to a studio .... and of course I will be there to support the business. Interestingly all the daddies who went for the shoot never complain a single bit muhahahah
I have attached Mummy Pat's promotion for Dec ... its in Punggol at her place so shoots is very causal and comfy.. n there are ALOT OF TOYS!! enjoy!!

christmas tree
4 years ago I bought ourselves a 6 ft tall xmas tree, together with many many decorations .... its was sliver themed tree.
3 years ago I used back the tree, it was a red theme
2 years ago I didn't put it up for I was heavily pregnant and just wanted a quiet xmas with no guests
Last year we were in Sydney and we decided not to put it up
Christmas is a big deal for me and Trev, being catholics, we treasure this day very much. Its even bigger than Chinese New Year or New Years for us. Christmas starts off with a mass in church on the eve of christmas and back to Grands Ng for the traditional Christmas supper (yes its the full works at 11pm) In the past we will go be merry and come back at 5am for part 2.. but now we just drink some wines and chat. I never once miss Christmas in Singapore except for last year for that was the only time DD T could close his business to go on a holiday as a family.
Christmas Day is exactly like Chinese New Year with the greetings in the morning, EAT again... Off to Grands Tay EAT then to whose ever house the celebration is held and EAT. Drink with the cousins and talk cock and presents exchange for the kiddos. Then its usually to another house to EAT.. dangs. Boxing Day is a time we just chill at home to detox or actually eat the remains.. Traditionally the NGs cooks Xmas Eve and boxing day.. so its really just more food.
Back to my Xmas tree story... when we moved here 4 years ago, I got all excited and had a hard time choosing MY tree as its a damn big thing to have a tree in a new place. I chose a massive looking one with sparkles, Damn Happenings.!.. regret Why? coz my floor was filled with them and Bam Bam was a sliver sparkling dog for 2 years. So now I refused to put it up....
So its off to get ourselves a tree this year, DD T decided on the tree this time before I make another mistake.
He chose something real small so that he doesn't have to do so much housework... can tuck it nicely in one corner just to feel festive. This is what happens when the man buys things.. oh well
Yes.. my gal doesn't like to wear clothes... the angmo genes very strong or is that kampong genes?

Holidays
I have this much time to do christmas shopping....
Think motherhood has made me a person who hates shopping for the thought of squeezing with the crowd and to end up buying rubbish is getting replusive. *sighs I'm sure these are signs of ageing.... I have a list of things to buy need to buy mainly for V's friends for it's christmas and it's really about them. But but but to deal with the crowd..
Think I will start with my clothes 1st tomorrow then after spending so much on myself I really do not want to buy presents *horrible

22 months
how fast time has passed
Princess is talking lots, speaking in understandable sentences like "mummy hold this please", "waer attle" -water bottle (which is 4 syllables) ... cuteness la. I totally treasure that moment when she sang to us her alphabet song without our assistances and has a little dance that she does with it! "abcefGGG, HI ***OP, qrSSt**VVVVVV, **YZ...***i know *ABC, ******with me!!! hahahhahaa.
When you think they can't get any cute-er , they do.... how she will come up and tell me " I love u mummy" or when I'm busy with something and wants to get attention she will ask "hug me mummy". we so not want this stage to go away so fast.
She hasn't been eating well... sux!! I pulled out my annabell karmel's cookbook to try new recipes... despite all my efforts to expose to foods when she was young is failing miserably this few weeks. She has lost so much weight, especially her big tummy is now deflated. I hope its really teething issues and not other stuffs. We have not visited Dr Tan for a while and tried calling in , she is on holiday and so we hope to get a appointment by next week for V's growth checks.
Princess is starting to want to be in control of her dressing which is driving US nuts!!!! She is refusing all her dresses and wants to wear ugly home clothes OUT! If not home clothes, it has to be tank tops and shorts, crappy.... Grands are grumbling that we cannot give in for she may end up gay oh dear hahahhaha But its really a struggle for she rather be clothe-less and be in diapers then in her dress. I haven't been shopping at all for there is no point to do so until she is out of this phase.
Like all 2 year olds she is getting more vocal and uses her screams to get her way. DD T gets upset but I just look at her and wait for her to stop emo-ing. There was this one time I was in Ya Kun feeding her soft boiled eggs and she took the dark soya sauce container and started to "shake shake shake the shaker" like how she does her crafts in JG!!! There were drops of dark soya sauce everywhere! I was drenched in DARK soya sauce!!!! hahahaha The lady who sat next to me was bewildered by her behaviour and I think more so by mine... all I did was "eh baby this is not school, check out the mess.... " she passed me a packet of tissue for the baby bag was with DD T.. I took one to clean my hands and thanked her. Sat ther drenched in soya sauce until Dd T came back and he was like "F*%k ing messy!!!! WTH happened here? "lol
Dd T is the disciplinary master for he has little tolerance for her nonsense... scolds, beats her butt or hands when she starts. Me however don't get affected much unless its really terrible... My mum is so happy that she gets scared of someone in the family for she doesn't understand why I never scold her. I usually just say "daddy angry ah... he is coming" keke thats my threat ... But everyone in the family knows thats my parenting style for I don't beat for succumb to canes. Even though DD T is sooo threatening to get that cane, but I will be like what is wrong with her? okie what... you want to see what is bad? its rolling on the floor, throwing things, beating you! I guess that is a balanced parenting styles, I hope never will I see that cane in my house... but I know my own husband he say niah, where got the heart to whack his precious princess? I mean he is such a hands on daddy... and people always say if the child looks like mummy, the child will be very loved by daddy. hehehe

Playgroup
After last week 9am nightmare aka jg holiday program.. Not the jg but the timing...
We were on trial for my intended increased session next term, like 2 mandarin + 2 english (eventually) but hellya, dd t decided against it... We were sooooooo tired. He decided that parenting is a long and tedious road, will be increasing at a increasing rate when the 2nd one comes along eventually. Made a decision to want to park her in a playgroup for its time for me to rest for this year to prepare my body 1) our 2nd child 2) her school which starts maybe 3 years old (waitlisted) and a firm seat in her nursery in St James. So he expects lots of driving then, with the 2nd one in tow for playnest in Julia Gabriels. Although we were skeptical about keeping our firm seat in SJCK but wanted Chiltern.... But ever since he realized that whenever he was asked where is she going for kindy and mentions SJCk, he gets people with so many questions on how he managed to get such a hot seat....eventually told me that he thinks that he wants her there, since money can't buy a seat in that school hahaha...
So today we visited 2 schools near my in laws, walking distance.... Cant have it far for I'm so not making her travel at this tiny age daily. We needed a program that was a drop off which I see so many of my working friends with help is doing... Grandma Ng, aunty nita came along too keke...
1) a schoolhouse: modelled after pat's, everthing I saw was exactly the same... With outdoor playground, sandplay, waterplay... Fan, Small classrooms, tiny toilets, eat, shit, sleeps in the same place hahhaha.. But the moment we were there, we saw all her playground friends! A good mix of expat kiddies... Like a international school, children were of great background .. This we know for there were alot of students who are my in laws neighbours which means she gets friends in the same kampong. Faces were happy! Principal knows her shit, steady, teachers looked okie... One we saw was very much like a JG teacher with cuddles which was nice. But did I mention I found school old? Oh playground was real hot.. Princess was flushed
2) a very very new childcare centre, with space, aircon, millions of toys... Happening toilets, bath area, kitchen...Principal abit blur but then its so new so forgivable, 2
miserable teachers, one chinese teacher coming in jan... Oh only 1 student today with 3 currently enrolled wahahahaha I totally couldn't see what was up... Principal admitted that she feels the lesson plan was not fantastic and is in the midst of changing it for new year. Then I was like if I do put V there and what if there was only 3 kids of her age, do they actually learn? Brought her to the teacher but she got scared for teacher had her tudong on, so I'm not sure if the headgear affected or was that she didn't like the teacher .. Crap. V got bored 20mins into the session and insisted on coming into the office to sit with us.. Made me wonder how to survive 4 hours. Though I'm sure she gets attention may be there but sort of defeat the purpose of going to school if it 1-1 session ... Like a tuition. There was this small area for kindy and I was like y so small and principal mentions that parents usually put children in PcF kindy in preparation for primary... My stomach churned, I wondered what mix of students will come here *sighs
Fees wise: 1 is 480 and 2 is 600 (after $150 subsidy) but its really aircon and not.. I think lol
Voted: came back to vote with the grands and all selected 1 for the environment learning with peers was was better than toys.. Though the mil was concern with worms in the garden *rolls eyes* I didnt like the hotness, dd the toilets... Oh well this seems so secondary. I need to speak to the parents of 1... It rained today and so playground was cancelled ... Im going to the schools in 2 weeks time, for 2 has one student of V's age coming in, wanna see how they behave together
She will still go JG ... So studies will not get affected ..DD T is amuse by the way victoria struts aound in JG and gets kisses by her teachers... Its somethimg he is not willing forgo yet, so next term is on hold and will return in march... Think a term break is ideal for me hahaha, so gotta sort this out and do a weekend something with her... I'm thinking of music .... Like maybe classical, inspired by baby prom

Movie night
So I like finally managed a movie... My fav Harry Potter
Yes I'm a great fan of the books and the hb was the one who bought me all 7 books, never failed to do so with every launch.. Even though there were times when I'm in London when the book is launched, I never once stepped in to get it... For he would have already ordered in Singapore.. One of the sweet things he does. Haha
I love English and Irish writers and do read a far bit of their books. Personally grew up with Enid Blyton like The Enchanted Woods, Secret Seven, Famous Five etc ... And I still have ALL the books I read in my whole life, crappy right? Never had the heart to throw them away... Mum keeps my childhood story books in her cuppie and I have loads in my storeroom in a huge tight containters!!! Another weird habit- I read only NEW books .. Ya horrible habit... Sighs
So I think like 8-9 years ago came this series and I was so so so in love with it!! I'm one of those human beings who believes in fairies, gnomes, elves, wizards etc .., keke oddball right??? I grew up telling my parents that there are pixies under those fungus mushrooms that grew under that monster trees or that moonface lives in the trunk or that old man sitting in the coffeeshop is a wizard and he has magical powers!!! That fairies will shower me with magic dust and what not...oh and I believe it's the elves who will take my things when I can't find them and walk out of the room and shout "I do need it, borrowing elves better put it back to the original place when I return!!" I do have a interesting mind la, I admit hahaha
So this series brought me back to my childhood days and I read every book at least 3 times each... Eh ya I have issues, I can repeat read or repeat watch favourite stuffs.... Harry Potter was always my favourite read if I travel to some oh so boring country. I was so caught up in the magical aspect of it! Did many flights to London and would think that particular red box phone booth would suddenly appear a wizard and that lady who dressed funky at her age was a witch... Took photos while walking in london and showed Trevor that these would be potential hiding places for the witches and wizards to hide. Ya the hb just played along wahahaha... We almost named Victoria .. Hermione keke
He never failed to watch the movies with me and it's been 7 times already.. His memory is totally fantastic and at times I pale in comparsion coz I will forget despite I read the story already! Can't wait for the final movie... Like come quick can???

V's favourite song
wanna share you all V's current favourite song! she wakes up to this every morning and sings along with the video/ music... has too just started singing without them, very intermittent singing with lots of missing words but of course only us parents know what song it is... This song is very captivating and teaches her the colours real well.. hope you will enjoy and intro to your kiddos!
Car repair
The car petrol was going too fast, I had to go to the petrol station twice in 10 days or so, it's usually weekly... So we were quite sure something was up as we noticed the one of the tyre was slightly deflated.. Decided to visit the service centre to get it fix.. And we like found out that there was a freaking like big nail embedded inside! Lol ... N we were like how the hell did we managed to drive for so long!!! Like so darn lucky we didn't get a flat tyre while driving because I don't know what to do in situations like this ....
So while waiting for the car to be serviced, we decided to do hawker food for we so so so so missed them. It was like 11am and market was real empty... Took the gamble, for there was no baby chairs in hawker centres hahaha surprisingly V took it real well for 1) only 5% of the stores were opened 2) they are newly renovated .., gave her beef balls from that famous beef noodle shop and she so loved it, I told the shop Aunty and managed to buy the uncooked beef balls to tapao home
Did some shopping while waiting for the car to be repaired and went to top up petrol again... DD T made C kissed his Shell lucky dip hoping for 1 year free petrol! Haha ...

recovering
So I was like darn sick for the last 2 weeks... Crap!
It all started with V's teething episode then came some fever from her which by the way completely recovered in like 2 days. Then DD T caught some bug and he was down for 3 days, so came me... when the whole world recovered, mine shut down... can't be help as I was the one with the sleepless nights when the teething and her fever, so the immune system hit a new high low.
I swear it was the most atrocious timing as I had a busy week after my bday was the one that was the most packed with classes and so I popped Panadol Extra to tahan tahan tahan..... didn't help that my SIL caught the HFMD from goodness knows where and WE were banned from the house. So I real down with no help except my mom's for that week, I had to shuttle to so many places and thank god we had 2 cars that week for the FIL left on a work trip. I refused to see the doctors and I know if I do so, I will crash due to the medicine. DD T took time off work to help assist me while I did my work.... all in a dazed.
So finally I made time to see the Dr who by the way made me sicker than I was already.. a complain which I wrote about the last post. Saw the Dr again and I had ear block 2 days after, dripping nose the 3rd and now a severe migraine today! like so sobssss.....
Last week was bad too as I so so regretted signing up the holiday program in JG for the 9 am class... like omfg was so f-ing early it wasn't funny!!!! we had to wake up at 700 each day... arggghh, V got upset with us and DD T was like no way to 9 am classes (even though he was the one that suggested 9am to try out) You all should have seen V every morning.. PALE coz she was sleepy. hahaha.. actually we too. Came back today by 4pm to try sleep more but both of us got up within a hour damnz! princess is still asleep though which is great.
Do you all know I haven't even gone for my birthday dinner!!! no fine dining for me for I only crave for a "mala" steamboat!!! still waiting for me to be healthy .. oh its harry potter day tml night, like f-finally!!!
I have lots of thoughts for I think the writing bug is back... so its blogging day :)

Still sick
I'm still in a dazed after like being sick for a week plus.. Totally not fun as this cold is driving me nutters as I feel like i'm high perpetually most of the time... I can still do stuffs but I do feel that I may be in a dream or was that real? Really sux!!
I'm sitting in the clinic now ... Like the 2nd time for the bitach didn't give me antibiotics.. I mean total waste of my freaking time sitting here for 2 hours where I can be sleeping in bed!! Yes I'm in a foul mood, like how to be jolly after 10 days of sickness...
Like V got sick then dd t.. Now me... N as usual the mummy gets the potent virus... I tahan-ed with panadol extra the 1st few days but the dripping snot drove me nutters and so a visit to the dr was necessary... Then biatch gave me 5 miserable pills which I finished in no time and suffered for another 3... Dd t finally made the decision that I needed antibiotics for I slept all I could but was still grouchy ...
So.. I'm still waiting ... I'm pissed, tired, sick... Doesn't help that the many people around me are sick just like me and breathing the same air is so not fun...
Did I mention I have to wake up 7am for princess is having mandarin holiday program at 9am... Went for a class today and being in a class for 2 hrs is totally not fun.. Boring in fact.. N we learnt "xiao ji" .. Will write about V's 1st mandarin exposure like soon.. That is if I ever get well ... Arggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Baby Prom
Got there 5 mins late today...
No thanks to Lil Ms Grumps who refused to wear her clothes and refused breakfast and bathe and all things we did was wrong ... Oh oh oh teething
Thank goodness the concert was something she really enjoyed... Was kicking her legs and clapping, I knew we could always count on music to make her happy.
Think was DD T's And my 1st SSO concert, never went for obe despite we were both part of our school's band hahaha... He was in percussion- drums, me in brass - french horn/e flat horn, so maybe V should do strings *we are still thinking real hard. Being in the hall reminded me so much of my competition days when in school, we always had concert competition and military competition in alternate years. But I still prefer being in the audience...
The baby prom concert was really entertaining especially when they got the kiddos to go up to conduct ... V was also conducting, waving her hands like a conductor! Maybe she has a calling to become one?
Till next year... When she will be ready to go up on stage... Can't wait!!

Fever ... She
She was slighty warm on Monday, got warmer yesterday...
V was really sticky to me yesterday but I had meetings the whole afternoon... Knew it was the teething period for she always is like this when a tooth pops. Managed to con her by bribing that I would buy her colouring book keke .. Came home that night and smelt her breath and it smells .. Hmmm I had a feeling she may be sick. Applied her bonjela and felt the gums all swollen with a slight cut caused by the tooth eruption.
So that point I knew her immunity has hit a real low, for books always said that cutting gums attract viruses. Traced back the last few days activity but she wasn't in any contact with children except on Friday in school. So I ruled out flu or any drama sickness which was good.
But both of us decided to still visit the doctors to get medicine just in case.
We went to Mt A's A&E for it was a PH... He gave us a whole lot of medicine coz I was quite sure it may turn to tonsilities like the last round hahaha. Like might as well right?? Then to go dr 2 times.. Rather keep stock... Costed us $111 like omg... Tried using the CDA card and we couldn't get the pin no right! Can't be helped as get last visit was 8 months ago(her 1st flu, which I traced back blog post)... But think the card is spolit!! Sian to have to go bank to fix it.. Really need to settle on a proper pin, DD T used our wedding anniversary date as pin but issue is we both can never agree whether we got married on 280406 or 280407! 2 weddings on 2 same dates but 2 different years.
Anyway V is in a foul foul mood!!! Molars are not fun... It's been a long time since I have seen her to grouchy, n like our sleep is so so broken for she wakes up like every few hours crying... It's only been 1 night and We felt so tired that we slept in 3 hours for our nap today ...
Like oh well... This 4 molars will be the last till she reaches 6-7 years old...

Grasshopper's 25 anniversary concert
this is my secret ... no one knows except my sec school classmates...
I adore adore the Grasshoppers... Yes me.. the potato english speaking girl who studied in a convent school since Pri 1 is a fan of them hahaha. I have yet to miss any of their concerts in Singapore till date... thats how much I enjoy going :)
Hmmm how did I start? Well it all started when I was in Sec 1, the one with atrocious chinese grades.... My classmate is the daughter of Super Coffee, so during that time they advertised alot in TCS or rather mediacorp... So she had tickets to go watch some variety in the studio.. free. A bunch of us was invited, we were keen to go as it was something different and who will miss best seats, with connection like this. That night, Grasshoppers performed.. man they were just so awesome! So the next day in school, we started to find out about them and what songs they sing etc. Just silly things we did then... I mean I like english songs all these while and was never exposed to the Mandarin pop. But this was great fun as our whole class started to go crazy over them... was something we did as classmates I guess.
So with free time on the pretext of revision after school, we will go to my gf's house to watch those TVB variety shows coz her mummy rents them... they were rich and we were not, so we tapped on the mom hahaha. I started to buy their music tapes, cd eventually to listen to them when I studied... Was a good thing as my mandarin improved alot and my cantonese too! We went for a concert at about 16 years ago and it was THE best concert I have ever been, Metallica couldn't even beat it!!! No joke.. We were standing on the chairs, dancing and the screaming! ... concert had like 3 or 4 encores.. it was crazy!! All the concerts that I went after paled in comparison...
I was also introduced to a lot of other hongkong artistes at that time... But eventually it died down... then I went on to Robbie Williams (not Take That days hahah) Yes Im a fan! for I think he is very F**k-able ... I like bad boys... but sad to say I don't ever think he will perform here.
No one who got to know me could comprehend why is it that I love to go canto pop clubs. Maybe it reminded me of their concerts... which is why Grasshopper's concert is always touted as the party of the year concert. It is really a stand and dance for 3/4 of the time type of concert...
When DD T heard that I wanted to go Grasshoppers concert many years back he was shocked! He cannot see me as a person who will appreciate chinese concerts... but eventually accepted it as part of my weird past. Like how I would watch cantonese series but not chinese ones.... listen to cantonese/Hongkong artistes rather than Taiwanese artistes. But its just something I do.. I drive and listen to chinese radio for this is my only time to listen to chinese as I don't watch much Tv any more. I don't speak mandarin much as no one in my family speaks.. we are all english educated... so there are times I just speak in mandarin to my friends for that is the only time I can practice.
So today I went for their 25th anniversary concert and all I can say is it brought back so many memories ... songs that were sang brought me back to that chapter of my life. The simple girl before I started to fly.. where aspirations and dreams were just words with no meaning. I am so so so digging out the CDs...
the crazy crowd.... when standing and dancing is the norm in this concert... you hardly sit here.

Heavy
V is at that stage where she wants to be carried..not funny especially when she is no longer a little thing but a heavy monster with kicking legs and hands that keeps wanting to touch + head which cannot stop turning about. I am trying very hard to want to carry her for I know this is my last chance to carry for after this phase the chances will be rare.
But but but... So heavy you know, plus the bag .. The "mummy walk mummy carry mummy walk mummy carry" ... I no longer shop with her, can't deal with the shopping bags and her.. DD T took her for a few hours just now while I had to conduct a class, took the car with me.. I came back to the mall and he was grumbling about the shopping bags, balloon, V and her bag, all on him hahaha . With no place to offload....

need donations
My dear babes... can help me donate ?
I posted this in my FB: I finally got the time to sit down infront of the laptop to do this... friend of a friend found an abandoned dog and she decided that she would try to keep it alive for SpCA may eventually do the drastic when no one come forth. But the sad thing now is that to keep this dog alive, many operations have to be done on the poor dog.
Angie found a dog, who's owner just chucked him out cos he's no longer 'perfect'. He needs a few operations - to remove his left eye, a cyst on a back and has to get neutered. He needs surgery ASAP, so please if you could spare a few bucks email ho.angeline@gmail.com, she'll send you her account number and update the contribution online so we know how much more we need to pay for the surgery. In the train
Just finished my blog tour...
I'm plucking my feathers today again.. I'm in the train with my iPhone and catching up on my fav readers' blogs... Finally got a chance to do so as I'm hardly online to chat, do this is the best way for me to do so...
Today mrt route is sooooo long.. I'm hungry as there wasn't any food at home and mrt has no food stores sad... Anyway I'm gng to bukit gombak which is like 1000 stations away, taxi would have cost me less than $20 right? Pluck pluck pluck... This mrt of ours is starting to be like London tube man, that is if you have to walk alot! But with aircon and air freshened air, oh with escalators too, so really not too bad. Just that I'm hungry and have 12 more stations. *wails
Anyway... My weeks have starting to get real packed, there are things to do everyday! So nice.. I so treasure my
Mummy day with V, like yday was JG, brought her to jones at demsey for lunch, gogo bambini for play after... After all that I went to DD T to do some paperwork, had dinner with them and left to conduct a class at someone's house. So fulfilling.... Tomorrow is mummy day too, I have it all packed to have hi tea with my friend n V, swim in the evening with her, dinner and put her to sleep. Nice...
Today is supposed to be my day too, but DD T decided that I should sleep in for I have been really busy last few days. Just in case I fall sick for I'm a baby , I need sleep... For 2 weeks i tried to pluck another feather and that wake up earlier like 8am, but the problem was I was able to do my stuffs like blogging at night I lacked sleep. Then my throat started to itch and it got croaky hahaha .. Like a child right?
So he made a decision to whisk her off to grands, I woke up today at 8am played 1 hour with her, had her fun and she left me with so much hugs and kisses .. Then I slept in. Now off to do some work, have a class today.

I story
I always tell people I am an accidental beauty consultant on the way to be a Mary Kay Sales Director...
I spent all my time waiting for Victoria to grow up, waiting for the day my husband decides that he may one day get a new place, change a new car or something that excites my life a little. Go on holidays more, bring me on his business trips ....Of course days like this didn't come.. or rather it didn't come as fast as I hoped.
I stayed at home most of the time and the internet became my new found best friend... I made my close knit friends in the forum and found solace in writing my blog... The blog became a outlet for me to write down my thoughts, frustrations, happiness for me, I found like minded mummies here too. After V started to grow up, from flipping to crawling to eating solids to talking to walking.. That sense of achievement of parenting started to grow dimmer by the day. There was really nothing to look forward to except wait for the day for her to start dating I think! hahah, I can obviously do the next thing that is to have another child... do the same thing over and over again.
Nothing changed much, during my "ME" time, I did the same stuffs, go for High Tea, shopping, read my books, basically spend money, just swiping the credit card....but sadly it no longer made me happy. The husband told me if that is what I want to do this same thing after completing my mission of bearing him all the children? I told him I don't know what else to do.... I remembered I cut my 21st birthday cake in Seoul 11 years ago.... my wish was to be the best mother I can be. By the age of 30, I travelled around the world many rounds, got my degree, got my driving license (come on I went to do boat license too!), got promoted, got married to a wonderful man and have myself a great family. I had the craziest hobby, boating, collected expensive watches, bags collection, wine appreciation; almost going for my sommelier course if not for the fact I got preggers.
I know you all are reading this and is thinking.. BITCH she doesn't know what she is missing.... but I'm telling you, its because I had it all, it no longer meant anything. I don't even bother wearing my watches, hardly carry the bags, I wear clothes that cost me less than $100, happy with shoes that are $39.90... I told the husband ... tell me what to do, what can I do?
I felt lost... I had more to me than this ... I told the husband, maybe I should do my MBA, since my dean had offered me a sponsorship of 1/2 of the cost of MBA. But he asked me what I want to achieve by studying more? Then I said I wanted another child, he said "No" for until I can find myself out of this rut, made it clear that its a vicious cycle. It was then I told him I want to go on holidays cause I missed outstations, so he made plans to fly me away on whatever opportunities his work allows. I came back still not happy.... I told it was because we did it with V, so we did a holiday ourselves.. and I still didn't enjoy. It was then I knew it was not about the travelling, it was just me.
I knew whatever I have to do, I have to do it quick. To divert my attention from becoming down, down, down. So there it was... right in front of me. I remembered I was very sour about Singapore's concept of parenting help, how they don't have flexible hours for mothers. The measly 4 months of "bonding", making the mother jittery if they do intend to extend it for fear of losing their jobs, how the have to answer to the superiors when a pregnancy is supposedly "good news". I remembered googling alot on the jobs meant for mothers, best companies to work in and flexible job hours etc. Never did I knew that Mary Kay is the top 100 companies to work in and the top 10 dream company for Mothers! I swear when I heard this statement while I was in class, I came back to tell the husband... I may have found the career that I want.
part II continues........

The weekend
Today was a very interesting and fruitful day...
I woke up late, just one of those mornings we decided to sleep in.. V slept at 720pm the night before, saturday was ridiculously horrible day, she decide to behave odd.. With lots of screaming and crying.. We call days like these "the eclispe day" something about the moon emitting odd stuffs to make children behave like werewolf...
Anyway, we worked together to apprehend situations like this. Had to go Little India to get her outfit for school on Wednesday.. Was a warm warm day.. She refused her nap which made matters worse.. So we forced to keep her awake till 7-ish, then change her to her PJ and she finally fell asleep in the car.
She slept 15 hours straight, woke up at 1015 Sunday morning... *bliss I got dressed to go Chace's bb thingy before I left for my champagne brunch at mezzanine at hyatt.
After 6 flutes of Pierre Jouet, 4 glasses of Cloudy Bay, many oysters, 2 slices of foie gras, roast beef, dessert and many more stuffs later... Oh I cut cake too!!! Left my favourite girlies at mezzanine and decided to go fix the hair. Reckoned this was the time to go light on the hair for after years of school, 11 years of strict decoram when flying, 3 years of pregnancy/bf ... I was ready to go light.. Just a little lighter la
Anyway the post is not about the hair, it's about what happen after. For some reason, while in paragon, I happen to share a cab with a lady who was going my direction... She was to go metro and get a Loreal face cream.. Haha Something about how she travelled to 3 metro today just to get the item... Was telling me how her helper likes it and she is buying for her too ... So the conversation turned to helpers and how to manage them. Although they have differences she has gotten it straighten it out and was able to fly away on her golf trips with the hb, leaving her 2 kids to the helper. She further stressed that as a mother is not about feeding them, bathing them and washing their bum, all these she never does, leaving it to the helper. Doesn't believe in eating the children's leftover or sharing their food with them. Monday-Friday is their own time = school and she /hb will play with them only on sat/sun for half a day, spending only quality time by going to park, arcade or what not. After that half day, the both of them will go out to do their own things.
I asked her how old her kids are.. 5 and 4 she said.. Stating that she was rather old when she got married (now 38) which made her the mother she is, for she refused to be like her mother or sister.. Both from what I hear are hands on mummies... For she said she didn't want to grumble about the lack of money or trying their best by scrimping cash like not taking taxi but take a bus for short distance.
She feels that parenting is about managing people.. Taking a step back and let the "worker" do their job and telling the children what she expects. If it's a no means no and "if that doesn't make her happy, it's a no"
She and her husband have no issues on flying away on leisure at any point for she says the helper will report to her on everything that happens. The last was a week away with no help from grands... Insisting that money solves all issues, for all she needs is to leave money at home and the helper brings them to dr when they are sick. She is looking for a 2nd help since government gives her subsidy for children and don't know what else. A believer that money does the job for her....
Hmmmm.. What do u gals think?
Came back, sat down to see this... My daughter spending her day with daddy = new toys...
Related the story to DD T, he sat there wide eyed, thinking very hard on what to say... His reply was " I'm very sure she will end up in a old folks home with no one to care for, as like she said, money solves all issues... " "oh and her children will end up with a maniac in Facebook for she doesn't monitor and I guess it's the maid who may eventually be the person to tell her as it's the maid's job to report right... For does she care?"
I'm so glad that I have a husband that thinks like me... For I kept very quiet the whole trip...
Oh and V did this... Feeding mickey...she sat there for a loooong time.. Think she is feeding milk keke

It is also includes 2 sources of caffine, an ingredient that has been shown to help boost cell's energy levels. The formula includes Hawthorne Berry Extract which has been shown to help accelerate the breakdown of fats, it also included 6 sources of antioxidants to give the skin a much-needed abundance of protection from environmental stressors that can leave skin looking dry, damaged and older as it is.
Timewise Body Hand and Decollete Cream Sunscreen SPF 15 $55:
Although the palms of the hands can withstand a lot of use, the skin on the back of the hands is relatively thin and fragile just like the skin around the eyes, making susceptible to early signs of aging. Daddy's 35th
celebrated DD T's birthday yesterday... for he wants to play his football today... thursday is his football day... so we decided to do dinner 1 day earlier...
Chose Barrosa at esplanade for their wednesday "all you can eat beef buffet" We watched it once on Tv, that buffetlicious show... food was not too bad, Black Angus cut was the best, Waygu a big disappointment, T-bone not too bad... But the restaurant did one thing very wrong and that was alfreso dining... without backup air. Gosh it was so warm! Grands had it good for they had their seat with the breeze, but us had the spotlight and a weak fan. But most importantly, DD T ate 3 steaks... and was real contented about it.
I bought a cheesecake from The Cheesecake Cafe in Frankel Ave.. ooo Beri nice ah. We decided to cut the cake back home, for I couldn't bear the heat....
Happy 35th birthday Daddy!!
